AMC theaters are apparently trying to be Netflix, or possibly Costco. They now want you to be a "member" where you pay a monthly fee and get to see 2 films per week. Going to the movies (at least, for my family) is an experience. We do not go see every movie at the theater. Only movies that are grand in scale. Otherwise, we wait and watch them at home. For me, this business model is stupid and the price of tickets, if you're a non-member, is ridiculous! Also, the theater is straight up dirty! Im sure they want you to commit to a membership.
