For the past 20 years, my family has been weekly visitors to Firebirds, and it has become so much more than just a place to grab a meal. It's where we celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and all of our special occasions. It's where we go for our regular dinners out, and every time we walk through the door, we know we’re going to have an exceptional experience. We continue to return not only because the food is outstanding but because of the incredible staff that has truly made Firebirds a part of our lives.
Over the years, they’ve been there for us in so many ways—most memorably by catering my sister’s wedding rehearsal dinner. Several of the managers even attended, showing just how much they care about their customers beyond the restaurant walls. They truly go above and beyond to make every experience personal and memorable.
Most recently, I had a heartwarming experience that I want to highlight, which truly sets Firebirds apart. I’m a teacher at a local elementary school in Hoover City Schools, and we recently held a Career Day event. Josh Garrison, one of the managers at Firebirds, went above and beyond to make a real impact on our students. He took time out of his busy morning to come present to several different groups about what it’s like to be a restaurant manager and how to run a restaurant. But what really stood out was how Josh went beyond just talking about the logistics of the job. He spoke to the kids about the leadership qualities that managers need—things like responsibility, communication, and problem-solving—and how they can start developing these qualities now, as kids, to become leaders in their own lives.
Josh’s presentation was engaging, insightful, and inspiring. The students were completely captivated by his words and were able to relate to the idea that leadership starts with them, no matter their age. It was clear that Josh cares deeply about not just his work but also about giving back to the community and helping shape the next generation of leaders. I couldn’t be more thankful to him for taking time out of his busy day to be a part of our Career Day. His dedication to both his job and to the students made a lasting impact.
And, of course, let’s not forget the food. Firebirds never disappoints. Some of my favorites include the Lobster Spinach Queso, the Big Daddy Chocolate Cake, and the Garlic Sirloin. Every dish is packed with flavor, and it's impossible to walk away unsatisfied.
We love Firebirds, and we love everyone there. It’s more than just a restaurant—it’s a family, and we are so grateful to be a part of it. If you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend it—not only for the fantastic food but for the amazing people, like Josh, who go above and beyond to make every visit...

As many times as I've frequented here ,I would of thought I would have written a review by now ,but this current visit, legitimately blew my socks of .. it's not evennof the photos pictured, and I hate the fact I can't import my video so you could see the divine dinner I just consumed.
Nor only is it my birthday month but the day before my birthday. How cute is it ,all inside members receive a $10 coupon during your birthday month . Yesterday ,I received an email to enjoy a three coirse meal.for $39 bucks ,I could of sworn earlier years it was $29 however with inflation it's expected .
Anywho chile , the course comes with a starter ,select meal and mini dessert.
I opted for the BLT salad add egg amd extra tomato. For meal I chose the DIVINE Cilantro Lkme chicken add chili sauce with parm mask potatoes. For dessert I had the mini Creme brulee cheesecake.
Let me break this down so you can get a visual. When someone says STARTER on the menu , you would assume a cute frank Lil salad . When I tell u the bowl was big ,like my back lol ... it definitely was the size for a salad you'd get as a meal The important part is the dressing. Hear me out ... just do it and tell me I'm wrong. Get the cilantro lime ,balsamic and raspberry vinegarette dressing . Drizzle a little of each . I don't know how k discovered the concoction but it is blissful ! The salad is so crisp and fresh ans the bacon adds a nice crunch.
The main dish. The cilantro lime chicken, withsome time of cream base sauce slathered on the bottom of the plate .. on top sits two chicken breast ,encrusted and charred with a cilantro and chili lime sauce... on a bed of the fluffiest parm cheese mash . On the side there are two Lil onion rings . WHAT KIND OF ONION IS ITTTTTT????? It's sweet and the coating doesn't slip off leaving the onion naked, lol certified addition !
The chicken is juicy ,when you cut it open its like white ,ain't no tinge of walmart chicken bress Here ,this chicken was fed the bougiest of seeds ,probably grass fed ! Yall ,I can not . That Lil chili lime adds such a balance to the cilantro in the dish.
The finishing touch was the creme brulee cheesecake . Le sigh.... how do they do it .. it's like real cheese.. like a mouse like texture torched leaving a Lil sugar crust on top !
I'm a critic and food is so important to me . I'm an empath and food is my love language. It makes me happy . This was the best pre birthday dinner I've happen in years ! 10/10 recommend . The amount of food you get for $40 is actually insane! Katelynn our waitress was sweet and accommodating. They could never make me hate...
Read moreI made a reservation for 3 for Mon, July 8 to go and have dinner for my husband and I’s birthday. We both share the same birthday of July 8th. Firebirds had sent me a $10 off bday coupon so I figured why not. I put in the reservation where it asks about a special occasion that it was both my husband and my bday. When we arrived we were seated. No mention of the birthday. No problem. We were in a great mood and glad to be out for our bday after working all day. Our servers name was Jack and he was quite underwhelming. Very dry humor when he even talked at all and just not attentive. He got our drink order. Then came back and got the food order. My food ended up being wrong. I got veggies instead of a baked potato I ordered. It took forever for him to come back to the table. I told him and he got me the potato. Then later as we ate we found that 2 of the steaks we ordered medium were actually RARE. Awful. We didn’t even complain about the steaks because we were just over the whole experience. We just took them home and finished cooking them the next day. It just wasn’t a pleasant experience. He was so attentive to the table behind us (who happened to be white). My daughter noticed him going to their table several times and engaging with them. We didn’t get that treatment. I had even ordered a lemon drop when seated and he never even asked me later if I wanted another drink or even suggested anything. I tried to give him grace. Well at the end we asked for the check. I told him that I had a birthday coupon for $10 off my meal because it was my birthday. His response was “okay what’s the number?” He NEVER acknowledged or even said Happy Birthday. Just horrible customer service. My family eats at Firebirds often but after this I think it’s time to move on. We can take our $100+ elsewhere. Even with the subpar experience we tipped 18% because that’s just what we do. He definitely deserved every bit of 5% IF that. Very disappointing experience all around from Firebirds. Glad I had the company of my husband and daughter to...
