it is sad to witness firsthand, the death of the Movie Theater Industry because of Theaters that are as poorly maintained and managed as this one. Theaters like this are what will be the final nail in the coffin over the next decade of the entire industry being killed by streaming,
AMC, both locally and nationally truly do not care because they cannot see past their profits beyond the immediate future. it is shocking AMC has put zero effort into making sure their theaters are as Inviting, Comfortable, and Clean as possible. This location does none of these things. The place is truly a dump, even the theaters themselves are not working properly, Several theaters subs are clearly blown, the screen on the IMAX theater is messed up, several bulbs are out and will flicker pretty intensely in the middle of the movie and is incredibly distracting. and the timer on the lighting is screwed up, Talk about ruining a movie by having the lights not go out at the beginning or turn on way too early.
Additionally, This location for some reason draws many younger people who would rather use the theater as a Playground/Social Club, rather than actually watching the films. Pretty efficient way for people who question going to the theater over watching at home to never come back to a theater.
Another one of my favorites here is the 3 TIMES I have been yelled at across the lobby by the same employee all the way at concessions to go over there and show him our tickets, because they do not have anyone being an usher, and he needs to make sure I have a ticket??
I have A-list, He knows this as I use the A-list line when I do get concessions, yet he still feels the need to make me and everyone else go all the way to concessions to show him a ticket? Sounds like he is just bored or on some sad power trip.
If you cared enough about preventing theft, put an usher in the lobby? It is not my obligation as a customer to hunt someone down to present them a ticket if they are not in the front of the theater.
Embarrassing experience, easy way to make someone lose their mind on you. Pretty sure this guy is a manager.
I am sure this review is just yelling into the empty void of the modern day Theater Industry's demise. AMC has been bleeding money for years, their shareholders are pissed and I could not sell my stocks fast enough after their disastrous last year.
Nothing would make me happier than to delete this review and change it to 5 stars, as going to the movies will always be one of my favorite things to do, But this location just fails in every aspect. I suppose Nicole Kidman was correct in her AMC Ad when she says "We come to this...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would. To start off, my wife went to purchase tickets to a matinee hours before the show time. She was not greeted at the window. The staff member that she purchased the tickets from rolled her eyes numerous times when she asked questions. The staff member asked my wife to choose seats from a seating chart that was completely unreadable from the screen she was given. When she asked if she had to choose seats (because we have never had to do this in the past) the staff member said “no it is optional”. My wife did so anyway because it was the opening night to the movie we were watching. Upon arrival, we again were not greeted kindly. My wife went with one of our children to sit in our seats. However, the seats she had chosen earlier were already taken. She took it upon herself to just choose other seats because after all the staff member she discussed this with told her it was “optional”. I took our youngest child to wait in the concession line. We ordered a large popcorn which was obviously scraped from the bottom of the popcorn machine because there were NO whole popped kernels. It was all crumbs. Once the previews started my wife took our oldest daughter to the restroom. While she was gone, I was approached by management and an outraged family, whom was too impolite to approach me in the first place, claiming I was sitting in their assigned seats. I was forced to move by myself with my son and all of our belongings, unable to let my wife know where we were. Again, someone was sitting in our assigned seats. When she and my daughter returned from the restroom they had no idea where we had gone. She left the theatre multiple times to make sure she had returned to the correct movie. At this point the lights were so low she could not see me waving her down. She finally found us and the movie had already begun. Fortunately, we were able to watch the movie but she and I were so mad we were unable to enjoy the experience with our kids. WORD TO OWNERSHIP/MANAGEMENT: IF YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE AN OPTION TO CHOOSE SPECIFIC SEATS WHEN PURCHASING YOUR TICKETS, IT CANNOT BE “OPTIONAL” IT MUST BE A REQUIREMENT AND THERE NEEDS TO BE PERSONNEL ENSURING EVERYONE IS IN THEIR CORRECT SEATS. WHEN THERE IS A CHANGE IN POLICY LIKE THIS, CUSTOMERS NEED TO BE INFORMED AT THE...
Read moreMy husband and I frequent this movie theater quite frequently, so often that we should purchase stock in the company. We went to see Hitman - Agent 47 on yesterday evening I had I the worst experience! When going to the concession stand, 1st I was not greeted but instead the cashier was engaging in conversation with her co-workers and failed to acknowledge me. I proceeded to ask a question in regards to a combo that would give me a refill on my annual popcorn bucket and a beverage. She answered my question by telling me that all beverages were self serve. This further let me know that she was not listening to my question or concerned about serving me. The young lady standing next to her giggled and then touched something on her screen and $9.00 popped up. I proceeded to ask the cashier if this was the combo in question and then she stated that it was. I then handed her $10.00 and had my hand out for my change. She then slid the $1.00 bill on the counter and continued her conversation with her coworkers. I said "excuse me ma'am do you mind putting my change in my hand?", she then chuckled picked up the $1.00 and throw it at me. I was appalled! I then asked her for her name which she gave (Winter ???) and practically begged for me to tell her manager. Winter's behavior suggested to me that this is what she is accustomed to doing. When Winter begged for me to tell her manager that made me think that she knew there would not be any repercussions for her actions. I then found a manager named Jakevious (spelled wrong), I informed him of the incident and he stated that he had never had a complaint on this employee and that he would speak with her to see what happened. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! He asked me to see him after the movie so that he could "take care of me". I explained to him that I did not want anything for free but instead he needed to know how his employee treats his customers. I then went to try to enjoy my movie. To put the cherry on top when the movie was over she was standing there right outside of our theater, and when she saw me she rolled her eyes and had a smirk on her face. Being an HR professional I wouldn't stand for this type of behavior out of any of my employees. I hope this review gets in front of the right people so something can be...
