The Clover is what brought me here and most days that gets me in the door. The difference is well worth it. You will pay though for the experience and the difference in taste. The operator must have the technique to a fine art too. And here they do. Now the vibe is pretty busy on most days, not very earthy, hipster,or bohemian. Mostly working (or non-working) blows with khakis and Swiss gear backpacks. You can usually get a seat. The baristas are pretty accurate and moderately friendly. They do learn your name and I guess I need to stick to the same drink for them to learn that. Tip well and you can see the difference. Sometimes when they get busy though a few of them get overwhelmed and personality goes bland. Not a good look. It kind of makes me a little uncomfortable, but they make up for it in speed and efficiency, and quickly reprise that talkiness I like. Going to a coffee shop should feel somewhat intimate like your favorite watering hole. But I do realize this is a chain. They damn near get it right. So they get 4 stars. 5 they would have to step it up and behave less like a suburban Starbucks and get that urban gritty café je ne sais quoi. Who am I kidding?!? This is a suburb...Horn Lake Mississippi! Considering the circumstances I guess this is a great spot. I like this one as much as my other Green Siren down the street but for...
Read moreHonestly if I could give them zero stars and write a review I would. They are the worst Starbucks I have ever been to but for some reason go out of convenience. However today was my last day ever going there. I will drive the extra 10 minutes to a different Starbucks because of how rude and lazy they are. They are always out of inventory. You would think with the amount of times they run out of literally everything they would be able to figure it out or put someone else in charge. I ordered a drink today because they were out of cold brew like usual and they did not add my caramel drizzle that I paid for and asked for nor the cinnamon that is in the recipe that is supposed to go on top of the drink . When I politely ask them to add the cinnamon and the caramel drizzle I heard the barista get annoyed then when I get my drink cinnamon was dumped literally dumped on top of my drink on purpose because she had a problem that I asked for something that was intended to be on the drink in the first place. It’s Starbucks at 9 AM if you have a problem being busy and making drinks the correct way then find a new job. I highly recommend never going to this Starbucks. There is one down the street in Southhaven on Goodman right past Airways that always does a great job with a...
Read moreI ordered online before arriving to the store, the drive thru was EMPTY when I pulled up, and they hadn’t even started on my order. I sat at the window waiting while the employees disappeared. I’m not sure what they were doing, but it wasn’t preparing drinks, because no one was in line inside the store and my drinks weren’t being made. One employee finally showed back up behind the counter and began working on my order. I ordered a Frappuccino with almond milk and no whipped cream and usually have no problem at other Starbucks locations, but this one seemed to be in a “hurry” and lacked not only customer service, but pride in their job as well. My drink was only 3/4 full. I watched the employee that poured it out of the blender into the cup ask the employee that poured the contents into the blender what to do, and they told her “that’s what they ordered just give it to them.” I could’ve made a scene, I could’ve refused the drink, I could’ve asked for the manager and show them exactly how their employees were performing in assigned tasks, but instead I was polite and took my drink. I just want other patrons to know and beware of the service and quality of items received at the Horn Lake Goodman rd location of Starbucks in...
