My wife and I ordered two quesadillas on May 23, 2025, separately, each on our apps for takeout, as we have done numerous times before. We have always loved the quesadillas from Qdoba in the past, even more so than single location restaurants that specialize in similar foods. However, this time, surprisingly both quesadillas were awful. The tortillas were a soggy mess and there was no indication of the usual toasting on the outside of the tortilla. It was as if they were just taken out of the package and microwaved. Moreover, the distribution of the fillings for each piece was uneven at best; and some pieces barely had any filling whatsoever. A wasteful mess.
To make matters worse, upon getting home, my wife noticed that one of her sides, sour cream was missing. It was impractical to go back just for that because any warmth to the meal would be gone by the time we returned. She called the restaurant, and they said they would refund her purchase which of course did not happen.
I received a survey later that night to fill out, which I did, writing the same thing as I wrote here. While the survey asked whether I would like to be contacted, which I said yes, I never received any follow-up from anyone whatsoever. Why bother sending a survey and asking whether the customer wants to be contacted if you are not going to follow-up?
So two terrible meals, one missing an item, and a follow-up survey that ends up being ignored. Priceless. While word of mouth is considered the best form of advertising, it can also be the worst. An important point in business is it costs a lot less to retain loyal customers than it does to acquire new ones and there are other restaurants where we can choose to spend our hard earned money...
Read moreTotally negative experience. Found this place online. Their menu looked attractive with nice pictures and meal options. Called to order for pickup and was told they do not take orders over the phone, online only. Ok. Ordered food online and had to pay for it upfront... strange. When I went to pickup my order smell of rotten food hit my nose the moment I opened the door! This place does not sound fresh at all! But ok. Order was prepaid and lunch time limited. Employee from behind counter yelled at me, that they do not take orders. There is stepladder set in the middle of kitchen and repairmen on top of it doing something above ceiling. So they tell me there is plumbing issue and they do not prepare food at this moment. I ask about my online order and rude manager lady yells at me that they are not allowed to cook anything while repairs are done. At the same time there is a guy working at the grill right underneath stepladder and grilling bunch of meat.... did not look sanitary... but ok. Food is paid for in advance... I asked if they could deliver my order to the office (5min away) after repairs are complete, and manager gives me angry stare and replies - "we do not deliver". Strange... their website says - "we deliver for free". My request to give me refund was answered with another batch of managers attitude "go online and get yourself refund". I did not want to continue this confrontation and walked. Got lunch from place nextdoor. Couple minutes later got a call from the manager - your credit card was refunded (tone of voice was like she was doing me a favor) and hung up immediately. Have not seen such poor service in years... Why wouldn't they tell me that kitchen is not working when I called before...
Read moreWorst Saturday lunch ever. The 2 employees had no clue how to make anything on the menu. The manager knew this already and wasn't training them. #1 issue was when my son ordered the nacho bowl the girl put the queso and meat on the bottom. I tried to explain to the manager that there isn't a recipe ANYWHERE that calls for cheese and protein below the nachos, and she explained, "That's how we do it here".
The person behind me had to ask where the protein in her bowl was and the manager asked, "did you look below the lettuce?".
I spent $48 for a family of 4 and $10 of it was my custom dish that was the most pitiful sight, just chicken, lettuce and queso.
The employees also didn't know how to remove a quesadilla from the toaster...
Ultimately the horrible experience was due to lack of training and when I tried to explain it to the manager she didn't want to hear it and wouldn't shut up for me to explain. Her reason for lack of training was, "today is slow so I am letting them learn."
I understand an employee does need to be on their own at some point when they are new, but when both employees are staring at the menu to try and see what is in the food, the only person with experience should step in and help out. In this case, the manager.
Walk out if you see the manager with all the tattoos on shift. Her employees probably will charge you $10 for 1 scoop chicken, a pinch of lettuce and a tiny...
