PSA--fraudulant charges after ticket was signed!! I went to Capo's Tacos on February 12 with a friend that lived in Hot Springs. We each ordered a grilled burritos and shared a cheese dip. The burritos were large, and tasted okay. Honestly they reminded me of the grilled stuffed burritos from Taco Bell. My friend enjoyed the cheese dip, but I found it a little bland. It consisted of cheese with spices on top that you mix in--perfect for my friend that cannot eat tomatoes that something like rotel would contain. We paid and left. When the charges came through my bank, the waiter had helped himself to a 40% tip. I did leave a tip but not 40%. I called the restaurant and spoke with a manager who stated that they would look at the tickets and see if he might have misconstrued the amount. She stated that this was not their custom and that they would make it right to me. She stated that she could do so food vouchers for me. I explained that I did not live in town, that my friend lived locally, but this was also the first time we had been to the restaurant. That it was not a good experience with the fraudulent charges from the waiter. She stated that she would refund my ticket, but had to check with the owner first. She called me back and and stated that there was no way the waiter could have misinterpreted the amount written and that the the owner agreed to write me a $5 check (instead of returning it to my card or the total refund the manager had mentioned ) and that it would go in the mail first thing tomorrow February16. I finally received the check (that was dated March 3) almost a month after the encounter. Not only was the staff dishonest, but the management did not have integrity. It wasn't amount of the situation, it was the principal and the owner failed to see that. So make sure you check your bank statements if you...
Read moreFirst time there and won’t be back. Where to begin? Service sucked barely got refills. We wasn’t even offered the pinwheels or hot sauce. I noticed when a guy sat down he was greeted with pinwheels and hot sauce not quite sure why we didn’t deserve any? There was a hair in the cheese dip. I asked for cheese enchiladas with cheese sauce needless to say that’s not what I got I received them with some kind of green sauce and I asked the manager to take it off and he was like well umm I GUESS (had to yell it) and I wasn’t informed on what all came on top of the enchiladas. The beans were so nasty I’m not sure who thought the idea of puréed beans was a good idea but they were disgusting. And the other person had fajitas and there was nothing special about them. And when we sat down the bartender (a lady) was talking to this woman and her little girl and the whole time the bartender was rubbing her hands thru the little girls hair like who wants to see that when they eat!? Much less her touching the food knowing she didn’t wash her hands. Very disgusting. Save your money and don’t go here. Was there two hours and...
Read moreNot very great Mexican food, just okay. Wife didn't particularly like the tacos, I didn't like my entrée all that much either. Waitress forgot to give us silverware for a while, kept trying to wave her down but she was busy chatting with co-workers and playing on her phone most of the time. She was nice though. Finally got some silverware, but she forgot to get us the margaritas we ordered as well. At first we just thought it was taking a long time to make them for some reason. Tried to wave down waitress again but again she was chatting and texting and I couldn't get her attention. Ended up finishing our meals, a little confused, when she came back and apologized, saying she forgot our drinks. Mistakes happen, but we weren't in the mood for drinks anymore after the bizarre dining experience. Waitress was nice, just extremely forgetful and pre-occupied with other things. I can forgive mediocre food for good service, or mediocre service for good food, but we kinda got mediocre...
