My friend and I had dinner at The Oak Room last night and were 100% pleased. We chose the restaurant bc we are staying at the hotel and did not want to leave the premises for dinner. I had read mixed reviews, so was not sure what to expect. The atmosphere was lovely and service impeccable. Heather knew the menu inside and out and made solid recommendations. Even her wine recommendation was spot-on. My friend and I only wanted a light meal, so we shared the 6 ounce filet mignon, asparagus and loaded potato. I have never had a steak so tender. I could have cut it with my fork. It was full of flavor, as was the asparagus. The bearnaise sauce was beautifully prepared, perfectly salted and buttery. We had asparagus left over and it was still wonderful hours later when we returned to our room ready for a late night snack. I absolutely would be thrilled to dine there again and will no doubt be back...
Read moreI was at the Oakroom in Hot Springs Arkansas on Friday, April 8, 2022. It was the worst experience ever. We were celebrating my mom's birthday. The waiter wasn't attentive and our food was horrible. There was a couple who was seated after us. They were celebrating a birthday too. They received their food and drinks before we did. I had to remind the waiter about my glass of wine. The couple was finished with their meal and the birthday desert before we were served our meal. Two of my cousins ordered the chicken breast entrée. It was burnt. Both meals were sent back. We were over charged on our bill. The waiter told us that the cook was preparing the birthday cheesecake. I told him to keep it. The food was disgusting. Not Jack Binon for sure. This was the first bad dinner ever at a casino...
Read moreThe service was very very nice. The staff were clearly trained in fine dining. Joy was our server and she is positively delightful. The menu sounds exciting and well thought out however the execution was a bit uneven. The fish entrees were over cooked. The lamb was a bit of a clunky presentation with the meat being way over sauced. The reduction was more of a thick paste than a sauce. The chops were undercooked (and I prefer err on the rare side.) lamb is served atop a pasta with mushrooms which was such a great idea but slightly off mark. The potion was very large.
