We ate here again last night. It has improved a lot. I had the lobster bisque and it was amazing. The wahgi burger was delicious. Did not like the pork belly on the burger but the rest was awesome. When I order fried Green tomatoes I expected to have a remoulade sauce not a pimento cheese sauce. I'm not sure why the rating is only a 4.1 because this place is SPECTACULAR!! Our waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and made everything sound wonderful! We started with drinks, which I highly recommend getting the Blue Lady cocktail, and an order of smoked portabelo mushrooms with cheese and crab and this amazing sauce. We then had the lobster bisque which was also very good. Finally we shared the cowboy ribeye, and the Brussels & beets, which were phenomenal! I have to say the best part of the meal for me is always dessert, and The Bugler did not disappoint! The food here is amazing and the scenery of the Oaklawn Horse track from the table was great. Eventhough the were prepping for the upcoming season. Now the food. I had calamari, salad, truffle fries and mushrooms. My wife had crab cakes and shrimp and grits. Every dish was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The calamari was tasteful and had two sauces that blended well with the dish. The salad was fresh and the dressing was whew! The truffle fries had truffle dust on them and were 💯.
