Read moreWe used to eat at Rocky's at least once every two weeks, but it became so busy (and was very happy for them) that we quit eating there unless we did takeout for a pizza. Their KO pizza is the best pizza out there. Today, my daughter, granddaughter, and I went to Rocky's for lunch. It was very busy, but we were seated quickly, and our server came to us quickly for our order. I was paying for my granddaughter, and my daughter was paying for her own. I ordered the cheese ravioli with meatball and a salad - pointing to the cheese ravioli entree as I ordered it, and my granddaughter ordered a small pizza. My daughter ordered a large pizza and cheese sticks. The cheese sticks came quickly. The server came over to me and asked me if I wanted ranch or Italian dressing - I assumed on my salad and told her Italian. A few minutes later, she brought me fried raviolis. I, nicely, told her I wanted the entree with the meatball and salad. She finally came back and told me she misunderstood. I told her she could go ahead and bring me my salad and their pizza whenever it was ready and then my raviolis which she did. They got their pizza and I got my raviolis about halfway through my salad. The server asked if we wanted boxes for the pizza and told her yes. After getting the box for the pizzas, my daughter asked if she could buy a couple of medium pizza boxes (the server said they would probably be free). Anyway, she brought her two of them. (My daughter was taking pizza that she was making to neighbors that evening.) We got our checks, and daughter was charged $4.50 each for the boxes, so she told the server nicely she did not want them. She was brought another check, and they charged her $3.00 for my granddaughter's pizza box (she was not even paying for my granddaughter's - her niece - pizza). We were told only one free box per table - even though two pizzas from two orders going to two different houses. We won't go back there even though they have the best pizza in town! BTW, my daughter stopped at another pizza place (where she was not even ordering) on the way home, and they gave her for free two...
Read moreI have eaten at this place many times. The pizza is usually very good. But everyone has an off day, this was definitely one of those days. It started with a take out order of a large thin undisputed champ pizza, same pizza we always order. We live out in the sticks from town and use an insulated bag for carry out pizzas. When we got home with this order the pizza was very overcooked. It was so hard we couldn't eat it. Even 2 grandkids gave up on it. Usually the next day when you heat up leftover pizza, it gets soft so I thought I would try it. Well put a large amount in the microwave and it came out even tougher. I threw that out but did take a picture of what was still in the box to show next time I was in rockys so they would make this one right. A couple of weeks later we decide to dine in and have the same pizza. That's where my main complaint starts. We asked for a manager and the waitress said she would ask Teddy to come talk to us. When he was told about our previous order and showed the picture he agreed it looked like an awful pizza. But he also said that since I didn't complain immediately, he could only take a little off our current order. I thought they would appreciate not posting such negative reviews and would replace what was agreed to be a bad pizza. He ended up taking $8 off a $25 pizza, counting tax. He blamed the owner saying he would get in trouble with her if he covered the whole pizza. We were not able to eat any of the pizza but still had to pay for most of it. Apparently this must happen more often than I thought because I couldn't leave a review on their website. I'm not saying we will never eat their pizza again, but we will inspect our order thoroughly before paying. And I leave this review as a warning to be aware that they will look for ways and excuses to get out of as much as they can. I have added a picture of what I hadn't thrown away yet and the receipt that shows where Teddy made a feeble and cheap attempt to pacify a grievance. Well I can't figure out how to post pictures here. If I do, then I...
