**I must preface this by saying trying Uni has been on my bucket list for nearly 7 years now. That was crossed off today. These Cajuns took on 7 Seas Oyster Bar and LOVED IT! From the moment we walked through the door to the time we got back to our AirBnB, this experience stuck to us in every good way possible! Being greeted with the biggest and warmest smile from Michael the owner was as welcoming as you can get! Michael was so informative and helpful of everything we were interested in on the menu! The sake, the oysters, the uni, the caviar, the boudin puppies… spectacular. We told him we were going to give him a run for his money on the boudin puppies given we are from Lafayette, Louisiana, and we were NOT disappointed! We could have stayed there and asked him questions upon questions, learning new things! His passion and joy not only for cuisine itself but the emotion a customer has during their experience is nothing short of admirable! The research and time he spent into creating his spin on our Cajun cuisine to implement in his menu has us in awe! We are beyond thrilled this was our last stop for our little trip to Houston and I think it can go without being said, we WILL back! We left so satisfied not only with our stomachs being satiated, but our hearts so FULL! Thank you Michael for everything!

“We’re here to share good food and share a good experience!” - Michael First and foremost, I first visited 7 Seas at the end of January. It was a second thought honestly. My friend and I were actually going to Pappadeaux’s on a Saturday night and was told it would be a 45 minute. We decided to try out 7 Seas instead. And oh my, what a good decision we made! We arrived and was instantly greeted by Michael. His knowledge of oysters is immense. I grew up eating oysters but was truly introduced to OYSTERS here. We were able to have some Lucky Limes, Beau Soleil French Canadian, Matagorda Pearls, and Kumamotos. The second visit was tonight on February 18, 2025 at 11 pm. Let me tell you. Michael let us try some Mermaid Tears and then he did a big one: A French oyster lightly fried topped with uni + caviar…MIND BLOWN! We’ve also had their Micheladas, Crab Fingers, and Pasta and amazing! Just amazing! I’ve also been able to have it delivered and it was packaged perfectly and tasted just as fresh as if I was right at the restaurant. In fact, Michael remembered me and did a follow up call to make sure that everything was good. 100/100 amazing! Come! I really shouldn’t have told y’all but I did. Best kept secret in Houston! EDIT: The Cheesecake oh my gosh! 5 ⭐️

They have the best oysters for reasonable prices. These "French kiss" oysters were perfectly shucked, clean and had absolutely no sand! The oysters are hand selected by the owners and they even clean the outer shells (see picture showing the shell sides of those we ate). The owner served us and made sure we had everything we needed. Came back second time for the dry aged steak. We also ordered the seafood gumbo; the soup base was delicious and it had just crab meat and shrimp, and none of the other stuff I don't care for. The steak was seasoned and grilled to perfection by the owner. The steak was accompanied by two sauces: a garlic with vinegar based (light yellow one in the picture), and a smoked onion/tomatillo. My husband liked the garlic and I preferred the smoky one. It was great that we each got what we liked. The owners (a husband and wife team) are passionate about their foods, and it shows. You feel like you are eating at a friend's house. The dry aged steak does require about 25-30 min to prepare so if you are in a rush, it's not for you. You also need to order it at least a day before you want to dine there so they can bring it out to the restaurant. Thank you for the wonderful meals! We will definitely return next time we are in town.

There’s so much to love about 7 Seas Oyster Bar, and not enough space to capture it all in one review! This place has quickly become my go-to spot—a third place where I can wind down, celebrate life’s moments, and indulge in some of the best oysters I’ve ever had. I take real pride in calling myself a regular.

Tucked away in Bellaire’s Don Huang Plaza, 7 Seas is a true hidden gem—open seven days a week and late into the night, making it perfect for satisfying those late-night cravings or creating unforgettable memories.

The heart of 7 Seas is Michael and his family, who have cultivated an incredibly warm, inviting, and family-friendly atmosphere. Michael is an outstanding host—his passion for oysters is absolutely contagious. There’s something special about a place where the owner isn’t just running a business but sharing his craft with genuine enthusiasm. I’m also grateful to consider Michael a friend—his kindness, knowledge, and generosity make every visit even more special.

And the oysters? Phenomenal. The menu features hand-selected, ultra-fresh oysters, and Michael—an oyster connoisseur—can tell you the history, geography, and story behind each one. Sometimes, he even shares off-menu oysters he’s experimenting with, adding to the experience. Every oyster has its own flavor and journey, perfectly embodying the name 7 Seas. If you’re an oyster lover, this is the place. Finding a restaurant in Houston or Bellaire that specializes in oysters is rare—this one does it flawlessly.

But oysters aren’t the only highlight—the Baja Tacos and Fried Filets are just as incredible!

Beyond the food, the bar and space are immaculate. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design and renovations. The decor is fun, the ambiance is welcoming, and there’s entertainment on large flat screens with classic American hits playing in the background.

I even introduced my sister and her fiancé, who are huge seafood lovers and foodies, to this place, and now they’re bigger regulars than I am. It’s practically turned into a family competition!

I can’t wait to see 7 Seas Oyster Bar continue to grow—it’s inevitable. While I might secretly hope it stays a hidden gem (because finding a seat may get harder!), I’m beyond excited for what’s to come. Wishing Michael and the team all the success—keep up the amazing work, and...
