Thereâs so much to love about 7 Seas Oyster Bar, and not enough space to capture it all in one review! This place has quickly become my go-to spotâa third place where I can wind down, celebrate lifeâs moments, and indulge in some of the best oysters Iâve ever had. I take real pride in calling myself a regular.
Tucked away in Bellaireâs Don Huang Plaza, 7 Seas is a true hidden gemâopen seven days a week and late into the night, making it perfect for satisfying those late-night cravings or creating unforgettable memories.
The heart of 7 Seas is Michael and his family, who have cultivated an incredibly warm, inviting, and family-friendly atmosphere. Michael is an outstanding hostâhis passion for oysters is absolutely contagious. Thereâs something special about a place where the owner isnât just running a business but sharing his craft with genuine enthusiasm. Iâm also grateful to consider Michael a friendâhis kindness, knowledge, and generosity make every visit even more special.
And the oysters? Phenomenal. The menu features hand-selected, ultra-fresh oysters, and Michaelâan oyster connoisseurâcan tell you the history, geography, and story behind each one. Sometimes, he even shares off-menu oysters heâs experimenting with, adding to the experience. Every oyster has its own flavor and journey, perfectly embodying the name 7 Seas. If youâre an oyster lover, this is the place. Finding a restaurant in Houston or Bellaire that specializes in oysters is rareâthis one does it flawlessly.
But oysters arenât the only highlightâthe Baja Tacos and Fried Filets are just as incredible!
Beyond the food, the bar and space are immaculate. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design and renovations. The decor is fun, the ambiance is welcoming, and thereâs entertainment on large flat screens with classic American hits playing in the background.
I even introduced my sister and her fiancĂ©, who are huge seafood lovers and foodies, to this place, and now theyâre bigger regulars than I am. Itâs practically turned into a family competition!
I canât wait to see 7 Seas Oyster Bar continue to growâitâs inevitable. While I might secretly hope it stays a hidden gem (because finding a seat may get harder!), Iâm beyond excited for whatâs to come. Wishing Michael and the team all the successâkeep up the amazing work, and...
Read more**I must preface this by saying trying Uni has been on my bucket list for nearly 7 years now. That was crossed off today.
These Cajuns took on 7 Seas Oyster Bar and LOVED IT! From the moment we walked through the door to the time we got back to our AirBnB, this experience stuck to us in every good way possible! Being greeted with the biggest and warmest smile from Michael the owner was as welcoming as you can get! Michael was so informative and helpful of everything we were interested in on the menu! The sake, the oysters, the uni, the caviar, the boudin puppies⊠spectacular. We told him we were going to give him a run for his money on the boudin puppies given we are from Lafayette, Louisiana, and we were NOT disappointed! We could have stayed there and asked him questions upon questions, learning new things! His passion and joy not only for cuisine itself but the emotion a customer has during their experience is nothing short of admirable! The research and time he spent into creating his spin on our Cajun cuisine to implement in his menu has us in awe! We are beyond thrilled this was our last stop for our little trip to Houston and I think it can go without being said, we WILL back! We left so satisfied not only with our stomachs being satiated, but our hearts so FULL! Thank you Michael...

First and foremost, I first visited 7 Seas at the end of January. It was a second thought honestly. My friend and I were actually going to Pappadeauxâs on a Saturday night and was told it would be a 45 minute. We decided to try out 7 Seas instead. And oh my, what a good decision we made! We arrived and was instantly greeted by Michael. His knowledge of oysters is immense. I grew up eating oysters but was truly introduced to OYSTERS here. We were able to have some Lucky Limes, Beau Soleil French Canadian, Matagorda Pearls, and Kumamotos.
The second visit was tonight on February 18, 2025 at 11 pm. Let me tell you. Michael let us try some Mermaid Tears and then he did a big one: A French oyster lightly fried topped with uni + caviarâŠMIND BLOWN!
Weâve also had their Micheladas, Crab Fingers, and Pasta and amazing! Just amazing!
Iâve also been able to have it delivered and it was packaged perfectly and tasted just as fresh as if I was right at the restaurant. In fact, Michael remembered me and did a follow up call to make sure that everything was good.
100/100 amazing! Come! I really shouldnât have told yâall but I did. Best kept secret in Houston!
EDIT: The Cheesecake oh...
