Al Nakhil — Restaurant in Houston

I will be very subjective and honest. Ive been advised to try this restaurant by one friend, when I arrived I didn't see anybody inside, I called then someone came out and asked me to have a table, ok, he gave me the menu and asked what I want, I told him to write down but he answered no need just tell me and I can memorize!!! this is very weird. Anyway, It took them 10min just to bring one dish with spoon and fork while we have been two!!! after another 5min, someone else came to bring the salad, all this time, Im watching and started frustrating, I called loudly to make them hear me with no luck, then I decided to walk to them asking for at least some bread, they shake heads, but no action!!! We were introduced to this restaurant by an Arabic Facebook group. The owner of the place posted that he will have a plate on Sunday that my daughter loves, and we should call for reservation. The post was at 9 pm on Saturday , so I call on Sunday when they opened at 10 am to reserve for 5 people to find out that they are out of that menu and they have just one plate, so I still went just for my daughter. She is 8, and this plate is her favorite from my homeland , and I couldn’t make it because I cannot find the ingredients very often. They are short of waiters for sure, took forever to get a fork! The best Iraqi food in Texas. Very good quality and reasonable prices, the customer service is very good. Managers, Writers and staff are super friendly. The quality of food is amazing. You can see a wide variety of food offered and most of them are unique in this restaurant, as it is specialized in Iraqi food only. The breakfast menu is unique, you can't find anything similar in any restaurant in Texas. The grill is far the best, top recommend is the kabab.
