I donât usually write reviews, but I absolutely had to take a moment to share my experience at Shawarma King. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and what made it even better was the incredible service we received from Khalid.
Khalid went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He greeted us with a genuine smile, helped us decide on the best items from the menu, and treated us like valued guests rather than just customers. Itâs rare these days to find someone who truly cares about making your dining experience special, but Khalid definitely delivered. He was attentive without being pushy, and his friendly attitude honestly made our visit memorable.
Now, letâs talk about the foodâabsolutely delicious! The shawarma was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients. Everything from the meat to the sauces was spot on, and itâs clear that Shawarma King takes pride in their food. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was excellent as well.
What really stood out to me is how much Khalid added to the whole experience. Great food is important, but when you have service that matches that level of excellence, it just takes everything to another level. He checked in on us at the right times, made sure everything was perfect, and left us feeling genuinely cared for.
I would highly recommend Shawarma King to anyoneâwhether youâre a fan of Mediterranean cuisine or just want to enjoy a hearty, flavorful meal. And if youâre lucky enough to be attended by Khalid, youâre in for the best service ever. He truly made our visit special, and Iâll definitely be coming back not just for the food, but also for the hospitality.
In short: Fantastic food, outstanding service, and an overall 10/10 experience. Shawarma King is a must-visit, and Khalid deserves a special shoutout for being amazing at...
Read moreI am very angry! We've been coming to this restaurant for almost 10 years, even under previous management. And we chose to come and celebrate Mother's Day at this place today. But something went terribly wrong, and the manager/owner should be ashamed of themselves! Long story short: When we came in, there was a big party (10ppl approximately, with kids), and they have already ordered. We asked for Beef Kabob - the plate and the sandwich - this is what we always get and love. But we were told that because of the big party, they ran out of beef kabob, so we had to go with beef shawarma plate and sandwich. Then, halfway into our meal, I saw the manager bring a big plate of Beef Kabob to another party, a New Party on the Patio! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! He couldn't spare ONE piece for our sandwich, but he served a full plate of it to people who came after us! WHAT IS GOING ON?! Then I notice one thing in common between both parties - they are of Persian/Lebanese/Iranian decent. ARE YOU SERIOUS! So, my only guess is that he withheld Beef Kabob from us because we are white/hispanic family??!! And he saw me looking at that table with a question on my face. He didn't do anything about it, though. And when we were leaving, he gave me that guilty look that said everything! This is outrageous! HAPPY Mother's Day to your Mom, dear owner of Shawarma King. How would you feel if she was treated this way on her...
Read moreI've been coming to Shawarma King ever since I was a kid, and I've always liked their food, but as of recent i've been extremely disappointed. 1st, they've raised their prices exponentially, charging $4 more per sandwich in comparison to 2019, which I can understand to an extent, what I don't understand is the fact they practically charge extra for anything and everything. 2nd, they've DRASTICALLY reduced the portions of the plates and sandwiches, their falafel has stayed consistent for the most part, but when you get the shawarma they're SUPER stingy with the meat, just today I got one, and it's like I was just eating bread, toppings and sauce, HARDLY any meat. 3rd, if u want to get a shawarma that's worth your buck and is the PEAK of deliciousness, go to Dijla restaurant, they're not that much farther away in comparison, they charge half what he charges, and they're VERY generous with the meat portions. Lastly, I'm not telling anyone not to support this business, honestly the service is REALLY good and the owner is very friendly, but I just wish the quality of food could have been as good as when I was a kid, other than that I'll still be coming here for their falafel as it's the best I've had in Houston thus far, but if they keep raising prices and reducing the portions, I'll most likely take away...
