2 stars is generous. I came here last night and the venue seemed to have been hosting a private event; without any indication of this, they told us that the outside seating is where we could go if we didn't have a reservation. Unsupervised children were running rampant, outside in what would be an otherwise classy and elegant outdoor arrangement of plants and decor. After about 30 minutes of this, and several adults scolding them and then promptly abandoning them to play, a worker insisted that they come back inside (I'm assuming so that they could continue to serve more guests in the area they were occupying). The before-meal bread was crunchy and brittle. There was nothing to dip it in. They also served us a plate of herb leaves (mint, parsley, etc., and radishes). I have no idea what I was supposed to do with that in the almost 45 minutes before I got my food. The menu was limited and the staff was uninformed about the limitations on the menu due to the high capacity of the restaurant, nor did the menu advertise such limitations. The waitress then attempted to give me another plate of straight herb leaves, as if that was the appetizer I had ordered (a cheese plate). Then she said that it was also unavailable. I paid $9 for 4 mushrooms, 4 thick slices of squash, and 4 thick slices of zucchini for my appetizer "meal" because I had ordered that as well as the cheese plate. It was delicious. But the cost far exceeds the quality. The dip that came with it should have come with the bread and the bread should have been better. Best part of the meal was that dip. I cannot decide what the worst was. Never coming back. I do...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at a charming Persian restaurant in Houston, Texas, and I must say, it was a delightful culinary experience that transported me straight to the heart of Persia.
From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the inviting aromas of traditional Persian spices. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.
The menu offered a diverse selection of authentic Persian dishes, each bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I decided to try the kabab, and I was blown away by the exquisite blend of spices and fresh ingredients. Every bite was a true delight for the senses.
Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was also top-notch. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing their love for Persian cuisine with guests. They were more than happy to recommend dishes and provide insight into the flavors and cooking techniques used in each dish.
Overall, my experience at this Persian restaurant was nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to embark on a culinary journey to Persia without leaving Houston. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Persian cuisine or new to the flavors of the Middle East, this restaurant is sure to impress with its delicious food, warm ambiance, and impeccable service.
I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu on my next visit to Houston. Thank you to the talented chefs and staff for a truly memorable...
Read moreDon’t waste your time! Worst experience ever! I don’t know how they’re still in business!
Came in on a Thursday for lunch and waited 15mins before anyone came to our table. The waiter offered no apology for the wait and was not courteous. He didn’t even offer a smile. We asked the waiter for water and a soda and the waiter disappeared once again. He came back with the drinks and a plate of raw onion and some greens. The onion smell was pungent as if it had been out in the heat for hours. We declined it and said we were ready to order. Instead of taking our order after all this delay, the waiter walks away to take the plate back to the kitchen. Once again, he disappears. There were no other waiters in sight. After waiting a total of 30mins and being fed up with the lack of respect for customers time, we got up and proceeded to leave. We went up to the cashier at the entrance to pay for the soda. The cashier didn’t apologize, didn’t try to fix the situation, or even offer the soda for free. I hadn’t touch the drink and then said I don’t think we should be paying for it as it is untouched. He then shrugged and said ok with complete disregard. I’ve been to many restaurants that would get super busy, but the wait staff was always respectful and courteous. This on the other hand was a terrible experience. They claim on their website to be hospitable but they are far from it. Houston is filled with Persian restaurants that are fantastic. Don’t waste...
