Came in for lunch after noticing they serve Po'Boys. The staff is very friendly and know their regulars. No masks on staff but some clients wear them. There are a few tables behind thrle self srve fountaindrinks dispenser that serves ur normal cocacola brand sodas. it's a nice small place, great for a nice quiet lunch with someone because of its very laidback atmosphere. I ordered the Shimp Po'Boy with chips and a fountain drinkfpr under $12 not including tip. I enjoyed the sandwich, the bread was toasted with a slight char that i really enjoyed. The spread they use was good and well complimented by the thin sliced tomatoes and crunch of the iceberg lettuce. However, I was left wishing they used larger shimp rather than the popcorn shrimp they used, though deep fried with good flavor some bites took longer to chew as the shrimp was fried but stale like.
Overall a good experience that left me wanting more. I'd. give it a 3.5 bit there are no...
Read moreThe staff was friendly, but I did have a bit of an awkward moment when the woman taking my daughterâs order seemed to walk off before it was complete. It wasnât exactly funny at the time, but looking back, it did make me chuckle a bit.
As for the Philly cheesesteak, I was a bit disappointed. It felt like the meat was pre-made and just kept warm, which made the sandwich dry. A true Philly cheesesteak should have American or Cheese Whiz along with provolone, but this one didnât have that, making it less flavorful than expected. Also, there are no fries available, just chipsâso if youâre craving fries, youâll need to look elsewhere. At $10, the sandwich was smaller than I had anticipated.
The salads did look really good, though, and Iâm curious to try one next time, or perhaps a different sandwich like the meatball or shrimp po-boy. I might give them another shot, but Iâll be exploring other options...
Read moreWhile this quarantine in effect I try to give my business to the local ones as long as theyâre following guidelines. Ordered a corned beef combo. Biting into felt like I was biting into an oversized crouton. The bread was terribly stale, and just crumbled everywhere and difficult to bite into sand what little corned beef that was on it was so cold there were ice crystals on some slices. The sauerkraut and Swiss cheese were also cold. The meat and toppings were barely over 1/4â tall so the sandwich was mostly stale bread instead of a rueben. I always been served them slightly warmed everywhere else Iâve had it. Lastly I reached for a bag of sweet onion chips to complete my combo and she told I could take baked lays and nothing elseđł so I said Iâd pay for them. She proceeded to take the lays out and I was like heck no put them back if I have to pay for them. Sorry donât think Iâll be back....
