Myself, my boyfriend and I went in on Wednesday 5/08/24 for crawfish. My friend got there at 7 pm, ordered a cape cod. I get there 7.07 pm, order a beer. 7.20 and neither of us have a drink yet. Eventually my beer arrives, and the waitress brings my friend a glass of straight vodka. Clarifying it’s a cape code, waitress says they don’t know what it is. Also, no apologies or even an air of trying to a) actually bring us drinks, or b) be polite. It was busy, but not to the extend of a 30 minute wait for a drink. Unacceptable. Finally, the cape cod comes in, in a tall glass. Again, sent back, eventually at 7.40 pm, so 40 minutes after my friend placed the cape code order, the actual cape cod arrives. No lime. Ask for a lime, and a gentleman brings a used shot glass with a chewed up slice of lime. Ok. My friend and boyfriend are beyond upset at this point. I was convincing them to stay, so I go up to the bar and ask to speak to the manager. Turns out the manager is the gentleman who brought us that chewed up lime. He tells me it’s a fine lime and he sees no issues, and is at that rude to me rolling his eyes. I said that waiting for a drink for 40 minutes is absolutely unacceptable and being treated so disrespectfully isn’t either. We left at that point. The manager gentleman proceeded to follow us outside yelling something.
Bottom line, I’ve been coming to this BB’s location for over 10 years, almost weekly during crawfish season. Won’t ever go again. I’m used to the service being slow, but this was just the worst experience ever. Note, BBs Montrose has been amazing in terms of service since they got a new manager, maybe Richmond location needs to send their staff there to train.
So apparently you are not able to respond to the owner message. An update. I have emailed the BBs corporate the day the asked me to. At this point, it has been a week and no response. Again, I do not super care because I’m ok with never going to BBs Richmond again, as Montrose location is literally so much better. Again, side note, your employees at the Richmond location should really learn something’s from those at Montrose. I mean day and night, beyond comparable. Now, I understand underperforming to get by, but you all dropped way below the regular underperforming level. You are at maximally 10% of what service should be. Again, will we go to BBs? Absolutely 100%, but not that location. Loyalty should not be taken for granted, do not disrespect...
Read moreI’m really disappointed with this location as someone who is very loyal to BBs and goes 2 to 3 times a week during crawfish season. I’m just really disappointed at how bad the service has been. I’ve noticed each year it gets worse and worse and honestly, they’ve left me no choice but to Leave a Google review in hopes they will see it. I tried to call the manager couple times to tell them how bad the service has gotten but I was informed they don’t have a manager so I’m hoping they get the hint with this. unfortunately doesn’t matter how busy they are you go to BBs and the service is just not going to be good , we tried different days different times and we have noticed that during the day it’s even worse , the waitresses will stand around and make eye contact with you and see you need help but they just continue to stand around and chat w their friends. When you come in you are expected to sit yourself , My husband and I had to move a couple times in hopes that a waiter would actually come and take our order we started out sitting and waiting for a while inside when we noticed that there was a lot of people outside and the waiters seemed to only be going to take orders outside at that point, so we just decided to move outside, hoping that the waiters would pay attention to us then unfortunately neither one of the waiters still acknowledged us or took our order we arrived at 1 PM waited until 1:31 PM not once had we had somebody help us and that was not the first time this happened. It has happened three times where we’ve had to move seats or try to waive and get someone’s attention and still never got service so we were left with no choice but to walk out and leave and take our business somewhere else , it’s just really unfortunate because we love the food but the service is just absolutely horrible. They also do not dump the bowls full of napkins and crawfish shells when you order the crawfish anymore you have to constantly remind them you have to let them know “My bowl is overflowing with trash”. I don’t know if it’s because of a new staff or what but over the years the service just gets worse and worse, and the waiters sometimes just seem like they do not want to help, it doesn’t help that the food has gone down a bit but again overall I would say the food is usually good but if we’re going to get bad service on top of it, maybe it’s best we just don’t go to this place anymore or at least...
Read moreI have nothing against BB's, particularly, it is just location. I would honestly advise to anyone thinking of visiting this location to instead just visit the "6154 Westheimer Rd" location.
The service here is pitifully bad. I placed an order for gumbo for me and my co-workers 15-20 minutes ahead of time. When I arrived at the location, parking was extremely tight and cramped. I had to park at a lot next door - and this is something I don't mind because I ordered my food ahead of time - thinking that I can just quickly pick it up. I go in, the waitress asks for my credit card immediately, even though my food isn't done. I hand it to her and now I know I should probably repark my car. I spend a few minutes parking my car, and when I come back after she told me that the food would be shortly done, she then tells me that "someone took your food" - yes, someone just took my order. Was it left unintended? Did the staff not ask the right questions?
I immediately asked for a refund, and she then claims that she never even swiped my card. I am completely perplexed about why she even asked for my card in the first place - I check my bank account to confirm this.
Not only was she not paying attention to the pick-up orders, but she had also asked for my card for seemingly no reason, and held it for a while, which make me feel extremely uncomfortable. This was especially troublesome because the staff seemed so incompetent and the restaurant was so busy.
She then tells me if I want to place another order, it'll be out quickly. I ask her to clarify and then she tells me around 15 minutes - which in my opinion - is not quick at all especially compared to the Westheimer location who could do it under 5.
I did not place my order - and this ruined me and all of my coworkers' lunch break. I heavily regret going to this location, and would advise anyone thinking about this place for lunch to just instead go to the Westheimer location.
My estimated total wait to receive Gumbo: 25-35 minutes (if we count all of the restaurant's mistakes)
Parking: Cramped
Staff: Incompetent - literally let somebody...
