I walked in right before they were closing the sitting area. The inside closes at 5 pm unfortunately but the drive through stays open until 7 pm. There is ample seating available when it’s open. I had hoped to get some WiFi time in but not today. They have a good menu to choose from. I ordered my go to double shot with a splash of oat milk and a pump of simple syrup. Chef’s kiss 🤌. It was delicious and hit the spot. I signed up for rewards with my phone number and get $1.50 off my next visit and purchase. I will definitely be back for another double shot. The barista was friendly and helpful even though I was in there shortly after 5 pm. It’s clearly a newer coffee shop. They have a variety of cups, coffee beans, and to go drinks readily available. A solid choice for an espresso fix. Good job, Black Rock Coffee Bar!

The good: spacious inside and outside seating. Although, the inside is a little crammed with tables. The staff gets a large space to operate in and looks clean. Very nice. Appears most of their business was drive through and for mostly iced sugar type drinks. The meh: Free highway smells and sounds if the door remains open. The bad: I got a regular latte and it was very blan. The milk over powers the drink and was seemingly watery. Cool art work and vibes! But Y’all know me, Im Always on the chase for the best latte in town so it might be forever and a never that I’ll be back but cool spot! āœŒļø

Okay first visit here, I'm really sick of huge coffee shops. I ordered a medium caramel truffle hot and zucchini bread in the drive thru. They asked if I wanted it toasted I said yes. There seemed to be way more truffle than caramel, it was so thick it seemed like I was drinking hot chocolate. Couldn't finish it cause it was so muddy. The bread was cold, not sure what setting they toasted it on.. I actually think someone didn't get them memo on that. I'll give it another shot, maybe take the time to go inside and get details. Four stars on service because of the bread

This review is in regard to how they handle their Uber Eats delivery service, from someone who has worked in the service industry for well over a decade in management.

Most places these days have designated areas and/ or signage that direct UE delivery drivers on where to pick up orders and how to go about picking them up. If they don’t have this, they typically don’t mind if you walk up to the counter and ask about the order.

This place has no signage for Uber Eats. When we approach the counter and ask for the order, we are met with an attitude, eye rolls, rude customer service or we’re simply ignored. I received all of this today, and so did the other UE delivery driver who came in after me.

Eventually, I just hopped in line to ask about the order, since it seemed like that was the only way I would get their attention. The cashier then had my order prepared and I left.

The hive mind and groupthink amongst the staff is very noticeable, and how they treat people according to their demographic is noticeable as well. The coffee shop had a diverse range of guests ordering, but behind the counter is nothing white women with Karen attitudes. I can’t help but think that must be a reflection of management. There are plenty of Hispanic, Asian, and Black people who live in the area. I find it hard to believe that no POC have ever applied to work here. I bring this up because the lack of diversity is reflected in the very disdainful attitude the women who work here seem to have towards people who don’t look or act like them.

All they need to do is place a sign on the counter telling UE drivers to wait in line for their orders, and they could avoid catching an attitude with us just for doing our jobs. But I won’t be picking up from this place again, and I’ll be sure to let others know not...

I ordered the caramel blondie chiller and was told that they were out of the ice cream base that they use to make it, the girl in the drive through window informed me that she could still make it using whole milk and that it would taste the exact same. So I told her okay I’d like to go through with ordering it. After receiving my order and trying it, it taste like black coffee and nothing like it was supposed to. The guy that made the drink came to the window and I asked him if there was any way that I could get it remade, but sweeter this time because it didn’t taste right. He told me ā€œI can remake it but I’m going to have to charge you again.ā€ Keep in mind I didn’t mind paying to have sweetener added to it. I then asked him, ā€œso you’re going to charge me to remake my drink bc it was made incorrectly and it doesn’t taste right?ā€ He said ā€œI made it correctly we’re just out of the ice cream base and she told you that already.ā€ I replied, ā€œyes she did tell me that and she also said that it would taste the same, so I’m confused as to why I’m being charged to remake a drink that you guys didn’t have the proper ingredients to make correctly in the first place.ā€ With and attitude, He told me that he’d issue a refund then recharge me so that he could make it correctly, he doesn’t make the rules that’s just how it goes. I’ve been coming to black rock and I’ve never known this to be the way things are handled. I politely told him to give me a refund and I don’t want him to remake anything for me. First of all I will never take food/drinks from anyone who’s attitude is terrible, because there’s no telling what you’d do to it. Secondly if this is how employees are trained to treat people when the ball is dropped on the company’s end, I’ll spend my...

I will NEVER go to this location ever again!!!

Our first time going to BR was a little over a week ago whenever the Westheimer location opened up and since the day it opened we went back there every single day until the storm shut it down.

So since then we’ve tried this location 3 x’s and each time each visit has gotten worse and worse!

Mainly because the RUDE pierced/tattooed woman who works there(not sure of her name so I can describe her by her looks).

So, today I ordered drinks and pastries for 5, I clearly said what I ordered in order and one was a Matcha and whenever this lunatic gave me drinks with this one drink isn’t wasn’t GREEN so that was a red flag and we didn’t even take it and flat out POLITELY said that wasn’t what we wanted and this LUNATIC came off on us(rattled on about listening to her repeat back order). SHE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE but we took it!

But then, I see my Americano already made with zero milk as discussed(cup was full and sprinkled cinnamon was added) so once again I politely corrected her and there she went again going off on us/me and I had had enough and I definitely had to give her a piece of my mind!

Whenever we first got there my drink was the first drink ordered(this drink) and I had asked if they had any oat milk because last time they were out and she gave me a choice of 2 other options I didn’t like so I asked for regular milk so she damn well knew that I had wanted MILK but she FORGOT or whatever!

So, way to have a JERK employee who’s running off GR8...
