I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a fantastic night at Black Walnut Café, all thanks to the incredible bartender, Lucero.

Lucero's friendly and welcoming attitude made me feel right at home from the moment I approached the bar. Her expertise in mixology was evident as she crafted each drink with precision and a genuine passion for her craft.

What stood out to me the most was the impeccable presentation of the drinks. Lucero pays attention to every detail, from the garnishes to the glassware, creating a visually appealing experience that added an extra layer of enjoyment.

Very nice place for a chat with friend and a quick meal. They have nice seating inside and outside with descent space and an enjoyable atmosphere.

The restaurant area is clean and the feeling is open so even when busy it does not seem crowded. Bathrooms and service areas are clean and well kept.

One stands on line and orders, then gets a number and the food is brought out to your table. There is a small drink area to get various sodas, flavored ice teas and other small refreshments. One can get water for free and there are a full stock of lemons. There is also a separate drink (alcohol) and desert bar for coffees and anything else one would want. The wines and drinks are ok. Keep in mind it is mainly a restaurant.

The food offering is good with items such as small deserts (see above) to burgers, salads, and pastas. The burgers are good and so are the salads. Nothing earth shattering, but they offer a delicious solid meal. Dressings are the usually from the bottle type... good and make for a tasty meal. Meats and fish are fresh and well prepared.

The service is rather fast and pretty complete. Waiters stop by and refill water and ask if anything is needed. They are mostly an order at the counter place, so don’t expect amazing attention, but that is not the model.

I sadly can not give this quaint little cafe a rating above a 3 because the service was worse than I've experienced in a long time. Beyond slow service. The food was excellent once they got my order right. Another person in our party, who ordered first, got her food after the entire table of 6 were done eating. They brought her 3 other people's orders, none of which were from our party. The manager, or maybe even the owner, tried his best to correct the many problems with some of our parties' order, but it just didn't help much with the overall dining experience. I really think they need to rethink the "Order at the counter" service. On the plus side, my husband said that his salmon was probably the best he had in a long time. Because of the order at the counter method of service, not a single dessert was ordered. Had they had an actual server, once some of us were done with our meals, we may have had one of the desserts/ gelato's that looked really good. With no one to ask or encourage us with their sweet treats, we didn't bother going back up to the counter to order one. Someone in our party had eaten their during the week and said that they had a server, but upon asking, they said that they do not have them. They did have someone who brought the food to our table, but that didn't work because they kept bringing the wrong food, or the order was different from...
