Great food here! So the format works simply. You walk in (perhaps stand in line if lots of other folks just walked in). You get up to the front, order your food, get your drinks, and pay. They give you a buzzer like the one you normally get when your table is ready. Then you go grab any table, and when your food is ready, the buzzer goes off. You go back to the front and grab your food. Easy! Is this fancy? No. But it's awesome and efficient. We didn't wait that long at all for our food. Gumbo pasta, seafood platter, it was all delicious. The fried green tomatoes were very tasty as well. The portions are big, and there was no trouble getting a "to go" box to take home what we couldn't finish. My wife's cousin just wanted to go eat some food she couldn't find over in El Paso. She said this was a WIN! Thank you! We'll be back!

Met some friends here for lunch. Staff was very friendly. Order from the counter and they give u a buzzer for when it's ready. Cozy place with tables and booths. Have to say the booth seats were very low to the table, felt like we were almost sitting on the floor with the table at our chins. Other than that, the food was fabulous. We had the fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits and a shrimp poboy...before I could blink, my best friends plate was empty( she has the shrimp and grits).... the grits were fried and I'm guessing she loved them. My poboy was really good, and the fried green tomatoes ( I don't eat these often) were really flavorful...highly recommend them. Will definitely go back and get some take put before I leave the Houston area.

Great cajun food! Great atmosphere! Great customer service! Thank you Louis for taking great care of us. We called you answered with a wonderful personality. It seems like you really enjoy your job and it's refreshing! I ordered the shrimp and fish with a side of hush puppies. My husband ordered the grilled seafood combo and my brother had the seafood platter with a bowl of gumbo. My brother said it's just as good as first place gumbo cook-off. He did not even add hot sauce to it, which is something! My husband loved his lunch as much as I did! The music really made me feel like I was on Bourbon st. So much that I started day dreaming of when we can get back there. Thanks again Louis for making our lunch day fantastic!

First time trying Boudreaux, and the food was alright. I ordered from DoorDash. I ended up getting 3 things. A Fried Shrimp PoBoy with fries, Crawfish Etouffee and a Kids fish with Fries and a Sweet Tea.

The Fried Shrimp PoBoy was actually good. It looked like an 8 inch Poboy with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and Mayo. Honestly, I've never heard of Pickles on a PoBoy before (I currently work in a Cajun Restaurant). Usually, a PoBoy comes with lettuce, tomato, and mayo, but to each their own.

The Crawfish Etouffee, which is literally one of my favorite dishes, was quite disappointing. The quality of the etouffee to rice is unmatched, but the flavor was really lacking. I just wished that they had put some salt in the etouffee, then it would be one of the best.

The kids' fish with fries was overall decent. I got to try a piece of what looks like fried catfish. It was seasoned very well, and so were the fries. The sweet tea, though, wasn't that sweet, which is perfect for my son.

As far as service, I didn't get a chance to experience that since I ordered from DoorDash. I will be there in person next time before I give my opinion on the service. In the meantime, I'll order...

I have not been here since 2003. Went back on a Saturday in November around 5. I must say that they didn't disappoint either. We were joining a party of 15 on this day; however, they would be leaving shortly after our arrival. So I ordered the food over the phone to go. When we arrived the food was ready in the time promised, it was piping hot, and delicious. We began to eat a bit before departing to our next destination. I ordered the bowl of seafood gumbo & a crabcake. My husband ordered etouffe over the phone, and boudain balls at the register. They were quickly prepared & very good. The boudain balls are pretty big, fried to perfection with a nice crisp as you bite into a ball of flavors. The crabcakes are pretty pricey (1-$10, 2-$16) so I know I will not make a habit of ordering those unfortunately. Do get the yellow sauce to go with your crabcake. Oh, beverages! Margaritas were alright 🤷🏽 I'm not sure about them having servers or just hospitality wise bc within the 45 minutes of us being at the table nobody came around to see how we (or any other tables) were doing. Everything was fine. Go check out the establishment. The town considers this a baby Pappadeaux...

Hello, To whom it may concern: I recently visited your Boudreaux location at Gulfgate in Houston Tx., I visit your restaurant at least twice a month for a period of five years or more. This time i was very disappointed in the service. I ordered 2 plates from the menu over the phone. 1 was shrimp and fish the other was Pecan Crusted Chicken salad. When i paid I asked the cashier if I could pay these 2 orders separatedly. She said yes. One order was fish and shrimp, the food was put in a styrofoam looking so sad with no effort in making it look inviting to the eye or "I can't wait to get home to eat it" feeling. Just cause it was fish and shrimp doesn't have to look like ti was just thrown in to the plate and there you go. I asked to pay separate orders , so when i question the price two more people approached the register and said pay the ticket and if your confused we will print and THEN explain the charges if your not saitisfied we will refund the money owed to you. Of course i found it to be an unusual tactic. Anyway my concern is the way the whole transaction was handled. Thank you for your concern and I love your food, always have. ...
