If I could give this place a negative 0, I would. I ordered online at 3:40ish pm. I fell asleep woke up at 630pm and no food. My boyfriend said he thought I had cancelled the order because no one ever showed up.
I called the restaurant and was told my order had been canceled yet the order had still been paid for with no refund. I asked how could this be and was told it could have been the new third party delivery company. I was told I would need to contact them. I told the man I either wanted my food or monet immediately. He said I could come pick up the food and I agreed until I looked at my receipt and saw there was a $7.00 delivery fee. I declined and asked for the fresh food to be delivered asap.
I received the order about 30mins later, mind you I'm literally 15mins away.
I received one tap at the door. I went to ask who is it. Opened the door and saw my food on the ground in a bag. The delivery guy was already walking down the stairs. My food had spilled over into the bag and was cold. Not only was it a mess but it was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I had the shrimp and grits. I ate a small portion but the rest was inedible. My boyfriend had he catfish and fries. The fish was nasty and the fries were extremely cold.
Not only was it a disaster but later on that night we both had diarrhea and stomach aches that lasted until the next day.
This all took place on 4-8-23.

I hate leaving bad reviews. I can honestly say we won’t be back. I had the Cajun combo with fried fish, crawfish étouffée, dirty rice, and hush puppies. Took one bite and sent it back because it was cold. The fish was room temp, the dirty was cold, and the étouffée had ZERO flavor! My partners plate was completely cold. The shrimp, étouffée, and the red beans and rice, everything!
When they brought the plate back it was less than 5 mins. No I didn’t time it but it was enough time to go to the restroom to wash my hands and meet them back at the table with our food.
The fish had the same with the broken off spot where I pinched my one bite off the end. Plate was like warm but the same cold ass dirty rice. At this point we don’t want anything. The waitress at the desk who claimed she was the manager had a nasty attitude when we said we wanted a refund.
Sorry yall I don’t have any pics. Oh and the atmosphere was a bit off putting. The owners were there hovering over a table talking to the patrons. He went to the back and got them 2 servings of what they were calling ‘diabetes on a spoon’, their sweet potato bread pudding. Telling them to be careful because it was hot.

1st visit. Love the country feelin atmosphere. Friendly service. Food tastes ok with reasonable portions. For folks that drink alcoholic beverages, they have awesome drink specials every day of the week & $5 hurricanes drinks daily. My gripes are that they seem to be pretty stingy with the seafood. My fried grits & shrimp($11.99) didn't come with nearly enough shrimp to eat with the 2nd patty. They where out of gator but I wasn't told that until after I had swiped my credit card. My dates entree (13.99) came with a very small piece of fish & maybe 4 or 5 medium sized shrimp and an enormous amount of dirty rice. My 1piece of fried catfish ($5.99) had absolutely nooooo seasoning. Only flavor was that of the cornmeal. A cup of seafood gumbo ($6.99) was sent back bc it had 3 shrimp & no other apparent seafood. Yet was loaded down with okra & celery. And the shrimp still had shells on them. There are no waitresses. They give you a buzzer so you may retrieve your order once its done. Silverware, fountain drinks, napkins, etc are all self serve. And bread pudding was DISGUSTING!!!!
