We've lived in this neighborhood for 25+ years. There's no shortage of average to above-average restaurants and we have always thought of Carraba's as THE best take-out, hands down. But tonight, after a grueling day, I told my husband we needed a spur-of-the-moment "date night." It was already quite late yet we were greeted warmly at the front door Carrara's & given a quiet table by a window. Our server, Jorge, introduced himself table-side & was very attentive without hovering. We ordered two glasses of wine and were surprised & intrigued when they were delivered with a round wooden "mini charcuterie board" nestled atop each glass, bearing a small slice of warm garlic bread, a bite of cheese, a bite of thinly sliced prosciutto & a dollop of delish strawberry jam. We immediately fell in love with this new way to nosh & sip and ordered some of our longtime favorite dishes. Jorge was friendly & attentive & thought of everything before we could ask for it. My husband & I whispered we were lucky to have such a season veteran as our server. The new sauvignon blanc we ordered was light & refreshing, perfect for the Texas summer. The salads were fresh & delicious. And our entrees were, as we have come to expect from their take-out, perfect, along with the sides. Megan, the manager unobtrusively touched base to make sure we were content, which we assured her we were. The serving portions are so generous that we could not finish everything so Jorge quietly & deftly slipped what we had not finished from the table & boxed it up beautifully for us. I said to my husband, "Be sure you take good care of Jorge. He did not have to do this for us but did it gladly." And he did it so smoothly that we naturally assumed he had been doing it a long time. As Jorge left to bring us our check, Megan the manager returned once more, smiling. She inquired, "How did Jorge do for you tonight ?" We gushed that he was pitch perfect & we felt lucky to have someone so experienced and Megan smiled mysteriously. "Would you be surprised if I told you this is his fourth night as a server?" We had an in-depth conversation with her detailing all the things he did so well and without being asked. After she left our table, Jorge slipped back and said, "What would you like for dessert? Megan says it's one the house." So how could we refuse!? And we can say from personal experience that the Tiramisu is DIVINE! As we left, the young man at the host position swung the front door wide open for us, and I turned to my husband and said, "I think we have found ourselves a new...

I had lunch at this location yesterday and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. Our server, Roberto, was initially attentive but did not get our order right — we were served the wrong food. When we brought this to his attention, his attitude was not only unprofessional but also noticeably negative and dismissive.
What made the situation worse was the overall tone and behavior, which I can only describe as discriminatory. As someone in the service industry, a basic level of respect, courtesy, and attentiveness is expected, and that was clearly lacking during our visit.
This experience left such a negative impression that I will not be returning to this location. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the behavior appropriately to ensure no other guest is made to feel the way we did.
Let me know if you'd like to adjust the tone further (e.g., more direct or more formal), or tailor it for a specific platform (like Yelp, Google, etc.).I had lunch at this location yesterday and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. Read moreFirst off, let me just say that if you like Chili's, Denny's or Golden Corral, this review is not for you. I live in the neighborhood behind this location, so it's our go to convenient neighborhood restaurant, but not anymore. They must have gotten a new manager in the last couple of months, because it's gotten consistently worse over the last couple of months, I know that a place can have a "off" night every now and then, this is beyond that. If you like Carrabba's then do yourself a favor and drive to the Voss or Kirby locations that are the real deal, not this corporate or franchise location that tries to be a glorified Olive Garden. Or find a different Italian restaurant to go to. Food has become highly processed here. Tonight our waitress was so bad, that I am not going to go into what she did wrong, because it's not her fault, because you easily tell she was never trained. The bread was hard/stale, salad came out on a warm plate and drowning in dressing, way too much dressing, that I thought I was on a hidden camera TV show. My pasta dish was super watery, not prepared correctly, I know because I have been getting the same dish for 3 years, it had no flavor at all just a watery mess. If you like your meals to count, that they taste great and our high quality, find somewhere else to go to, If you decide to go here and you are disappointed, well just remember this review,...
