Yes I'm directing this to Chacho's owner.
Just want to start off by saying that I really really like your restaurantFCC or I should say I used to, however my last few visits there have not been Pleasant especially my last one. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!!
Last night we went in there and I brought someone there that has never been because I've always brag about the place. I was totally embarrassed because it was nothing like I was saying. We ordered the steakhouse beef fajitas half order and the half order of the Konga nachos. As you know both of those come with guacamole ,sour cream ,pico de gallo Etc. Only ours ,nor anyone else in the restaurant, got any guacamole. When we picked up our order it did not have any guacamole pico de gallo sour cream. I had to get up and go and ask them. They told me they do not have any guacamole and just gave me sour cream not even the Pico. I asked them when would it be ready and they said they don't know their salsa guy was not working so it's going to take a little time I said about when she said 30 minutes I said okay. I go back up there to get it and they tell me that they're not going to have any they're out of it. I asked why nobody's making it. I'm thinking to myself .. okay so nobody else in the restaurant knows how to make guacamole..... So not only did they not bother to tell me did they did not have any when I place my order for both entrees but they didn't even care and they weren't going to tell me until I asked about it. Then they started arguing with me about it and was getting mad at me because I was asking for something that I paid for that came with my entree.
The salsa bar is another crisis. I usually brag about y'all salsa bar how fresh and how good and clean it is. Last few times especially last night was absolutely disgusting. Food everywhere there are literally six containers that were completely empty and the rest of them were if maybe a third full. I asked them for a few of the items and it was like pulling teeth. They looked at me like I was crazy because I asked them to Fill the containers. Isn't that their job?
Also to let you know that it was absolutely freezing in there last night it was like 35 degrees outside and your staff has the air condition on like 50. They didn't care about the customers freezing they just want to make sure that they were comfortable !! I'm confused isn't the customer the one that's important? I literally had on two jackets and a blanket and we were still freezing. I guess they didn't care about your air conditioning bill as well.
I have no doubt as a business owner myself and was in the business for 25 years and if you would have walked into your restaurant last night you would have not only been Furious but you would have been embarrassed. I will say this that it starts from management if you have a management that doesn't care if your employees won't care either.
I now know why it's been so slow in there the last few times I've been in there, it's because people are slowly but surely not coming there anymore and that's really sad because I know the food is usually really good. However if you do not treat your customers with respect eventually you will not have any customers. I know what makes a restaurant keep growing and that is consistency as well as friendly service a manager who cares a clean restaurant and great food.
I'm curious to see if what type of owner you are ?, will you respond to this will you take care of this. I guess time will...
Read moreI’m from San Antonio where chachos is so delicious you appreciate and enjoy every bite. I was 29 years old when I realized that will not be the situation anymore. First off I should’ve never got in line when I seen how long it was . They only had one lane open and we waited approximately 22 minutes to place our order. I only checked to make sure all the items were in the bag once I go back to work my coworker showed me her meat to her quesadilla which looked like alligator chunks instead of steakhouse. She has dentures she takes to out eat and we definitely should’ve Puréed it before she ate it . It cut her gums UPPPP. I would not recommend that meat unless you as a human have shark teeth. Now me on the other hand my enchilada plate was like sweet hamburger helper in a tortilla with a layer of cheese on top. They should fire that cook and terminate the contract they are on. In San Antonio that plate comes with refried beans my plate from this location came with rock beans I mean I literally had whole beans in mine it tasted like brand with gravy. My rice tasted as if I ordered from a Chinese restaurant . I hate the experience my taste buds experienced at this location. I immediately called them soon as we discovered how inedible the food was they never answered after 30 missed calls. I threw the food away and called in the morning the manager MANUAL told me I will have to bring the food back even tho I have my receipt. I asked him can I speak to the manager he hung up . I called back and he said he’s the manager I then told him can I speak to the general manager he said they don’t have one and hung up. t tfis point we’ve been at work for 9 hours and I’m starving so I call back and ask him for corporate number he hangs up again and when I called back he gave me a text me now number. I’ve tried to vonda r them several of times but I get no answer . There’s no reason someone should spend their hard earned cash and not get satisfaction for what you paid for . If the job isn’t for you then you should find one for you because being rude and disrespectful is not the attitude to have on the job. I will never eat from this location again maybe never in Houston again I would hate to experience such disgust again. I hated that for me and my coworker . We starved the whole shift just to get neglected by the fast food restaurant we...
Read moreAhhh, Chacho's. How I enjoy going to you late at night when lesser restaurants are closed. Tis a shame you are often noisy and just a little on the grungy side. Granted, I wouldn't say it's dirty, but it seems like someone is always in the process of mopping every time I come here. Then again, I always come in in the early a.m. hours, so that might be co-incidental.
Chacho's food is pretty good but doesn't set it itself apart from standard Tex Mex in terms of flavor. It does however distinguish itself in how absolutely ginormous the portion sizes are. Seriously, they might be bigger than any other restaurant I've been to. Combine that with the generously sized salsa bar and you can get enough food for a full meal and a hearty amount of leftovers.
Employees aren't rude, but I've often been given the impression that I should already have exactly what I want in mind without any questions or special requests before I get up to the register and regardless of whether there anyone who in the line behind me any variance from this results in undisguised annoyance. The price for the food is fairly standard for Tex Mex, erring slightly on the expensive side. Expect at least 15 bucks a person before the tip. This is offset somewhat by the size of the aforementioned portions provided for you.
All in all Chacho's is a decent place to go with the advantage of being open 24 hours a day and having truly massive meals. That said the employees can be a bit on the impatient side and while good, the flavor of the food isn't amazing as compared to other similar restaurants.
