I have eaten here many, many times over the years but today I must give a review for the first time. My mom’s 70th birthday and my dad’s 69th birthday is one for the ages. My mom loves seafood and she chose Pappadeaux as her preferred restaurant. I called in the order for our family, and we had a few modifications due to most of us eating low carb. Colleen, the GM and Kealan, the Togo server took such incredible care of us. They went over the order with me over the phone through all of my modifications, (and even cheerfully answered my questions 5 days ahead of the day I actually placed and picked up the order), but they also double and triple checked our order when I went to pick it up. Colleen told me that I would not even have to worry about getting out of my car as she determined that I was going to be able to sit in my car and they would bring all the food out to me for curbside. They made sure that everything was hot at the exact time that I wanted to pick it up in order for the food to be at its most fresh for me to arrive at my brother and sister-in-law‘s house while we sat and visited with each other and my mom told us her life story. They gave us plenty of tarter, cocktail, and ranch dressing for our salads. My mom said that her grilled shrimp was so good, she didn’t even need any thing to dip it in because the taste by itself was incredible. My brother and sister-in-law loved their crawfish platter and my dad really enjoyed his naked redfish served with sautéed spinach. My fish with a white wine cream sauce on top was absolutely out of this world. If there was anything that I could say wasn’t perfect it would only be that I requested extra sauce with my meal and the amount of sauce that they gave me was just in a tiny little nickel sized container so it wasn’t much extra sauce. Next time I will have to make sure that they put a little bit more extra sauce. Anyway, everything was really really good. Oh, and the crab and spinach dip for the appetizer was really delicious too. I did eat my salad at night time for dinner later on in the day and it was so fresh. Although I have been dining with the Pappas’s restaurant company for most of my life, this was such a memorable experience and I just want to say thank you for making my mom‘s 70th birthday that much more special for all of us...
Read moreI absolutely love Pappadeaux so it pains me to leave a negative review. Cannot remember the last time I had Pappadeaux because it was not available during my three years in Nashville. I was so excited to return home. My old go-to location had closed, so I chose this location. A bit out-of-the-way, but it's Pappadeaux. Ordered the same thing I normally order, the seafood platter, which is not a new dish. Absolutely should have checked my order. Arrived home 30 minutes after leaving the restaurant and realized the shrimp was left off. People complain about the prices but this is not Long John Silvers or Captain D's… And for those reasons I've never thought to check my pick-up/to-go order from Pappadeaux because it has never been wrong. I called the restaurant, thinking that maybe possibly there was a shortage. One of the gentleman that I spoke with laughed and I reminded him during this pandemic that has been a thing. Shortages here and there of some food items. I realize we don't hear too many of those stories now, but I could not think of any other reason how one could put this order together, and forget one of the main components. I was finally able to speak to a young lady whose name I did not get, who said she was the manager. This was August 26 at 6:38 PM. Explained the issue to her and she said that she'd send partial credit in return, that it would take several days, I thanked her and told her that was fine. That has not happened. Kind of disappointed, but again, my fault for not checking my order. The photo looks pathetic but that's because they used their common sense and didn't put everything in one box. The rice and broccolini were each in their own separate containers, and kudos for that! It was absolutely delicious, just as I remember. But I really had a taste for that shrimp though, lol. I placed the order online around 4:48 on that Friday, the 26th, and they did not appear to be at all busy when I arrived around 5:30ish. The parking lot was not packed by any means, but I realize there could've been just a lot of phone/online orders they were dealing with. After waiting some time, I realized that probably was the story.
If you want greasy, unseasoned seafood, by all means, help yourself to the earlier mentioned establishments. If you want quality, seasoned, delicious seafood,...
Read moreIt pains me to be leaving this review. We have visited many of the Papadeaux locations and service was always well above average and food beyond amazing. This location however was very disappointing. My parents had never been and for years I’ve been hyping up how great and wonderful your food and service is. I drove from Wichita, KS to take my parents here with my son and felt bad that I took them. We made reservations for 4:30pm on a Sunday and it wasn’t busy at all. When we arrived our table still had to be set up and didn’t mind. She then came and seated us. No silverware and no salt or pepper shakers. We took some off another table. Our waiter asked if we were there for anything special and I let him know I was excited to be bringing my parents here for the first time. He said oh and walked away. It would of been nice for him to welcome them and maybe show them around the menu. Our apps came out and the oysters were good but now crackers or anything for dipping. The steak was way over done and hard to cut. The linguine was over cooked. The main lobster came out with no utensils and we had to ask for them several times. Also no melted butter cup with the tea light. We had to keep asking for things to complete our meal. When my dad asked for some wet naps the waiter Noah just looked at him so he asked again and he said he didn’t know what he was talking about. I said you know a wet nap to clean your hands from all the butter and lobster mess. He said he didn’t know and walked away. All of our other visits the manger would come by and ask how we were enjoying our food and interact this location that never happened. I felt so embarrassed that I hyped this up so much for my parents only tor spend nearly $400 and get terrible service and subpar food. I know things are different now with the pandemic but when you have people spending this much money and leaving a great tip you should offer amazing food and service. We left a generous tip but he definitely didn’t earn it. I truly hope our next experience will make up for it but it won’t be at...
