I tried this place twice, once for curbside pickup and once for delivery. The curbside pickup failed because (1) there is hardly any parking so I had to walk in anyway, and (2) I ordered on the website and it gave me a warning to make sure I have a confirmation before I came to the pick-up, but even after getting it I got to the store and had to walk in (bad because I'm avoiding people because of the pandemic) and then they said I had no order so they could make it but I just wasn't willing to wait in a restaurant or out in my car for it. I ordered delivery later and the veggies didn't seem fresh and the onions really stunk as if they'd been cut a long time before my order. The meat wasn't cooked and was just wrapped in plastic wrap which leaked meat juice on many other things. I recognize that the meat cooks in the broth so I heated it up to accomplish that, but I was really stressed having to do my own cleaning routine because the food wasn't packaged properly so I had to sterilize everything that got meat juice on it. I got sick the next day. The portion was a good size and the food tasted awesome, but I'd say you really need to eat this at the restaurant for it to be safe, and that means waiting until after the...
Read moreMost of the time, Pho Binh is the place for Pho here in the Galleria area. They are usually consistent with the broth and portion size and quality of chicken or beef in the Pho.
However, the broth tasted very light, and there was no flavor to the broth except for the onions that were immersed in the soup. Tasted almost watered down or not cooked long enough.
Not gonna lie...the soup was a pathetic excuse for a bowl of pho. I am used to the legendary pho shops on Bellaire.
The worst thing about it was the owners sitting in the booth talking and the kids in the family running the front. And they just didn't care that the broth was lacking any and all flavor. They were all just looking as if I wanted a free bowl of pho.
Look, if the pho is cooked long enough and correctly, the flavor will be there... There was no flavor in the broth it tasted like regular chicken broth lightly salted. This establishment should not be labeled as a pho shop.
It is merely a pathetic excuse to sell watered down broth and not to take ownership and pride in what is known as the "Best meal on Earth" by most people!
Mental Note: Stay away from here and just make the drive to Bellaire and eat...
Read moreUPDATE: Place has gone downhill since our very first visit. Asked for just a side of extra noodles bc there wasn't much in the bowls to begin with, the Viet chick said we cldnt order just a side of noodles bc they were closed (10 minutes prior to closing mind you). The other friendly girl was just about to sell it to me, but then she interrupted and said that I cldnt. Due to that, they just lost our business.✌
Originally rated this place 5 stars after receiving exceptional hospitality from this new girl named Christine after our very first visit. Just like the last time, food and cleanliness was on point. Everyone was friendly EXCEPT from what looked to be one of the managers (only employee constantly on her phone and sitting down). The girl had a major attitude problem and was rude to me when I had asked for some to go bags. One of the major reasons we drove all the way from downtown to this location was due to the stellar service we received the last time. Unfortunately, we had to deal with a poor manager who severely lacks mannerisms and professionalism, instead of dealing with someone that made us feel welcome and was pleasant to...
