Randy arrived to my house after suffering a house fire with a public adjuster. He sold me on the idea that he could help me restore what I’ve lost. At the time his company’s name was EDC RESTORATIONS. I gave them the public adjuster and Randy a copy of my insurance documents and they filed a claim with my insurance company. Randy told me that since I’m entrusting him that he would pay for me and my family to stay at a hotel for two to three nights until we can figure out rehoming plans. He set us up in nice rooms. The next day I met with him and the public adjuster for a meeting, that’s when he told me that my insurance will pay for the rooms and to rehouse my family while our home is being fixed. Well after a few days we received a call that our insurance company will not pay for the rooms or our rehoming expense while our home is being rebuilt, we don’t have that coverage in our plan. So we had to pay for these rooms that were super high plus a fee cause they went with an agency. Randy did not pay. Randy’s website claims that they restore and mitigate homes after a fire or devastation occurs, he did not restore anything. No dehumidifiers were used, no attempt to save anything. His goal was for us to get a total claim payout “more money for him”. Well we were under insured due to property values going up and inflation and our coverage not accommodating for that. So he put us in a bind. We were forced to do a total new rebuild because our home was completely destroyed due to no attempts to restore anything by this restoration company we hired and entrusted. The public adjuster helped us get a total claim payout which again was underestimated once received Randy convinced me to sign over the whole payout to him, he even had access to my mortgage company to track the funds. He had me wire my first installment to him before any work was done. When asked to pay the adjuster his part of the claim he only paid a percentage not the full amount. Once he started working on my house he was extremely unprofessional didn’t provide a paper trail of expenses just claimed he was going off the scope. Things seemed off when he would say “oh you weren’t given money for this or that” when I see in the scope I was. He would make claims to be doing things that he wouldn’t be doing and when asked and confronted he would yell and insult and turn to personal attacks. Very immoral and unethical. He eventually quit without giving a detailed paper trail of actual evidence of how our money was spent and even sent us a bill for expenses that weren’t explained. He had several reviews on google that matched what I went through, I even put my review up and he deleted his whole account in attempts to hide his scam. I published a complaint with the bbb and a review was put up. Now he has changed his company’s name to EDC RECONSTRUCTION with the same website making false claims and has received a A+ rating with the BBB from posting fake five star reviews. I’ve sent the BBB proof of their fraudulent behavior and sent them a copy of the lawsuit petition that is active in the Harris County district court from me and have told them about another lawsuit against them for fraud in fort bend County. They just deleted my complaint and my husbands truthful review we tried to put up to warn the public. Most people ignore the A+ rating from the BBB which I didn’t understand, now im seeing for myself it’s a scam just like the fraudulent businesses they help. Trust is gone.

I do not recommend this company for any job. Here's my story: in December, my car broke down and we had it towed to their shop. After inspecting the car, they determined it needed a transmission, which they quoted at just over $5,000. We paid the full amount upfront, and after two weeks later, the car was supposedly fixed. However, it stopped working again after 2 days, and we had to pay $250 to have it towed back to our house; someone came and picked it up to take it back to their shop. They picked it up at no charge, worked on it for another three weeks, but the car stopped again, this time on the freeway. I had to pay another $250 for a tow truck, and since then, I've been taking Uber to work. When I called to request a loaner, they told me there was none. To get the car back to the shop, I would have to pay $180 for towing instead. I'm fed up with paying for towing and Uber with no resolution or loaner in sight. Their customer service has also declined significantly. I plan to contact the Better Business Bureau

This review is about the lack of sound medical practice of a veterinarian hospital in Spring, Tx name True Companion. We have a dog that has been in the family for over 16 years so when moving to the area it was very important to find the right facility to care for him and his aging needs. We need a veterinary facility that will help us care for our elder dog and if there is an emergency, know that he will be treated. This is NOT the place. You cannot count on True Companion to provide care when needed. We met Dr. Mintzes at True Companion and she was fantastic! She has been our primary provider since we recently moved to the area. The problem is the owner, Dr. Webb. Our dog recently had an emergency, was secreting big pools of blood, and Dr. Webb was on call. She told me to bring our dog in right away! Our dog has extreme anxiety issues which are in his records and when consulting with the front desk they said they understood all of his conditions. When Dr. Webb came into the treatment room she asked her assistant to pick-up our dog. I let her try but he began wriggling immediately, trying to jump down. I explained to Dr. Webb about the anxiety and told her that I can hold him while she listened to his heart and did her initial evaluation. She instantly got upset and shouted that this wasn't going to work for her! That if the dog bit her then it was going to be the assistants fault not mine! I tried to explain to her that he has never bitten anyone and was so old, sick and anxious that it would be easier if I held him as we have done for years now and with the last visit with Dr. Mintzes and it went fine. Before I could finish the words, she slapped her paperwork on the table, told me the visit was over and walked out. My dog frightened, ran head on into the wall, my granddaughter opened the door and he ran out into the lobby and hid underneath my husband’s legs. Dr. Webb told her assistant that we needed to find another vet. Wait - this is an emergency!

To have a doc walk out on an emergency because they didn't want the patient to be held by their family is most disturbing. Dr. Webb was unprofessional, rude and quite honestly I feel she just wanted the money for the visit. Not sure how any medical professional can have a bleeding patient and refuse care?

When I approached the front desk personnel, their attitude completely changed. First words were "there is nothing we can do, when you find another doctor we can send the records over." No one said, " I am sorry", or asked "what happened?". It was obvious that this is not unusual behavior for Dr. Webb. It was then that I found out that she was the owner and that there was nothing they could do, one commented they just worked there. We left, granddaughter crying, dog still bleeding.

The saddest part about all of this is we couldn't get care for our very sick, bleeding dog – for an emergency visit- from a veterinary hospital! I asked if they would leave a message for Dr. Mintzes to please give me a call when she returned as I wanted to thank her. When I did not receive a call, I called back 2 days later, the receptionist said that Dr. Mintzes said there is nothing she could do. I explained that I just wanted to thank her so please pass that on. The fact that they never passed on the message and then when I called back it was assumed something completely different from what I wanted to convey is very telling of this organization. I.e. Everyone instantly on edge regarding Dr. Webb, severe lack of compassion and intimidated behavior. This cannot be tolerated in the medical community. It also appears that no one else in that organization can provide care or follow any ethical or moral compass unless the owner says so or risk losing their job.

Not okay, every medical facility should have a code of ethics to follow and no person or animal should be refused care during an emergency. This is why I share my story and...

THIS LOCAL BBB IS A JOKE. THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE OR RETURN CALLS BUT WHEN THEY DO LOOKOUT FOR THE RUDE . ARGUMENTATIVE ATTITUDES AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL HANGS UP. TREATS BUSINESSES WAY BETTER. THIS BBB WENT SO FAR AS TO GET MY OWN BUSINESS UNACCREDITED DUE TO AN EMAIL EXCHANGE ! THE UNPROFESSIONAL PERSON IS SUSAN SCHADE I HAVE THE EMAIL EXCHANGES TO PROVE HOW UNPROFESSIONAL THEY ARE. All the reviews posted are very accurate and portray them in the correct light. THIS BBB IS OVER EXTENDING ITS BOUNDS AND TRYING TO CONTACT OTHER BBB'S ABOUT MY OWN BUSINESS! UNBELIEVABLE ! STEER CLEAR OF THEM. THEY NEED TO ACT PROFESSIONAL OR FIND NEW PROFESSIONS! ILL POST EMAIL EXCHANGE SHORTLY. REPORT THIS BBB TO THE COUNCIL FOR ANY FUTURE ISSUES. emails : LAST EMAIL FROM HOUSTON BBB: Be advised that we are not processing your complaint after all. We reserve the right to say no to any complainant. Your continued negative emailing about the BBB does not speak well of a business that claims to be Accredited. Your disrespect for our process and the BBB Houston are the reasons for the closure. We are forwarding this email exchange to the BBB in your area to alert them to your comments regarding the BBBN. We will not respond to any further emails or calls from you.

SECOND EMAIL FROM HOUSTON BBB: Good afternoon

" Complaint processing is subjective at times. I do believe that you have a valid point in stating that this was a circumstance that should be processed as a complaint. We do leave the door open for the consumer to present why they feel a complaint should be processed if the BBB chooses not to. We like any good organization, are always open to review our decision."

FIRST EMAIL FROM HOUSTON BBB: I have reviewed the complaint and because your dispute is against an Accredited Business and you have expressed a deep unhappiness, we will process the complaint. However, please be aware that per our policies and guidelines, the business is only required to address your issues. This is a dispute between two parties and if they provide a reason, per their company’s policy, why they cannot provide the settlement you are requesting, the BBB considers the complaint resolved. You should receive a response from the company within days.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, we ask that you provide then in writing in order to maintain the integrity of the record.
