I went last night and it was not busy. The service was not up to par. The server never refilled our drinks which was tea and water. The cheese sticks appetizer fell apart when you tried to eat them. The main course for my plate was just not right. I ordered the grand slam and the toast was over done and dark. How do mess up toast. I asked for onions to be added to the hash browns and I know they forgot, because they had big serving of onions grilled like you do for steak or something sitting right in top of them also over cooked and with almost burnt hash browns. The only thing that worked on my plate was the eggs and bacon. My daughters plate was a slim fit plate and she said it could have been warmer. The side of seasonal fruit that came with it was two very small sliced apples and about four purple grapes. No effort on that and it look like something for a child serving. She ordered a side of sautéed veggies that was squash and it was not even a serving. It was child serving if that. I asked the server when they brought it out that that is not a full side serving. It did not even make it near the top of the small side bowl. He said that is how it comes. That was almost 3.00 for a lousy 1/4 of a serving. He never came back after that. I seen him give the other table there meal ticket,but mine never came. I got up to pay at the front and the lead person made a random appreance to tell the cashier table #2 and the cashier was pulling up my ticket she was speaking Spanish so I thought she might be talking on a device or something, but she wasn't she was speaking to me. I told the cashier excuse me and she started speaking English to me. I told her just because my skin color and hair color may have me look a certain way I do not appreciate being profiled and assumed I spoke Spanish. She said that is her first language and she always does that. I really don't think that is the case. She spoke very clear English and just assumed and she was wrong of course. I paid my 30+ bill, but I left dissatisfied and angry with the additional episode at the register. I have eaten there before and never had issues, but I guess management and the staff can really mess things up. I called the establishment and asked if they could cancel the order on their end. They tell me they cannot cancel the order on their end and I need to do it on my end. I ask why other restaurants are able to do so and what the difference between them and the other restaurants are. The employee, who said his name is Joe, said it just couldn’t be done. I tell them thanks for nothing and hang up to wait for my order. Once a delivery driver is assigned, I wait for the order when out of nowhere the order is marked delivered when I haven’t received anything. I contact the driver asking what happened and she says that Denny’s said i canceled my order and they turned the driver away. I call back the establishment and asked why they turned away an active order. They say that they turned her away because i had masked them to cancel the order. I asked why did you tell me you couldn’t cancel my order and went ahead and did it anyways? The employee calls over the GM by the name of Adil who tells me that I had canceled the order so they turned away the driver. I had no way of canceling the order without speaking to an Uber representative who was unavailable. TL;DR the manager, who said they couldn’t cancel an order, cancelled an order on my behalf without any notice or communication. Read moreOk I’ve had some bad service at places but this Dennys location tried hard to be the worst. We had a younger girl as out waitress and it took about 10 minutes for her to come out and take our drink order after we had been seated. First question I asked was if the American slam breakfast was the one on sale because they have a few on special. She confirmed it was on sale and we both ordered. Had to ask the other waiter for drink refills because she disappeared. Needed to-go boxes and went up front to the cashier and found our waitress on the couch up there lounging around. Came back to pay (never receiving a check) and the bill was very high. I asked the cashier why and found out we were being charged full price for the meals. Informed her that the cashier specifically confirmed that those were on sale and she said “no, that one is not on sale it’s another meal.” Then pulled out a sale menu that we were not given. I asked why we didn’t get a sale menu and were told it was on sale only for us to be charged full price and was given a sarcastic response. Cashier went to talk with manager who never came out to help with this situation and I was told we have to pay full price EVEN THOUGH we were told it was on sale. So what’s the difference in the two meals from not on sale to on sale?? Cheese in the scrambled eggs. That’s it! And my eggs did not have cheese in them.
