I placed an order through Uber Eats for some late night treats.. when my order arrived nothing I ordered was in the bag.. which sucks because if the people were doing their job, it would’ve been correct.. The manager told me which this seems to be a common theme with Uber Eats. “Oh you ordered the Uber Eats you can just ask for a refund… “that’s not the point I want you to do your job correctly so that I receive my order as I ordered it.. / the employees at dessert gallery just need to make sure that they put the right things in the right bag for the corresponding ticket with said bag and then make sure they hand the correct one to the Uber person. The Uber person should also be checking to make sure what’s on the receipt of what they’re picking up matches the contents of the bag if they’re able to look or see the ticket on the bag, correct? It’s a novel concept. I know the excuse was at 9:30 PM. It was really busy at the dessert gallery and they just mixed it up and made a mistake… translates to as a consumer either your understaffed and can’t do your job or you’re just being lazy and going through the motions and can’t do your job.
I had a simple order a sample box of the dessert bars /a slice of the strawberry cake and a Diet Coke
What I received with a box of six cookies
Even if the tickets got put on the wrong bag when you pick it up, there’s a considerably different volume and weight difference
Basically in the scenario, no one involved did their due diligence. They were just going through the motions that cost dessert gallery $50 and it cost the Uber driver his tip and whatever he would’ve gotten off of that from Uber
There was no real accountability other than the excuse that we were really busy and we mixed it up, we made a mistake/ Again, a box of six cookies in a bag does not look like a big ass slice of cake, a box of dessert bars, and a cold Diet Coke
So this mentality of mistakes happen, you can just go through and get a refund well guess what as a consumer I will consider many other options before I ever go back to desert Gallery .. there’s way too many fish in the sea so to speak when it comes to food options/ and as a business, you should be making sure especially with to go orders/ it’s easy money// hopefully someone in management or in the corporate office actually reads these and can address these employees that worked on this day
I talked to a guy and a girl and both could not be bothered/
The girl who was a manager was clearly just reiterating a go to. “I’m so sorry / mistakes happen. Here’s your refund on Uber eats. “ speech
If I could give the...
Read moreDessert Gallery is a haute tauté place where regular people rub shoulders with the implied snobby elite, although the attitude of “some” of these folks says nothing about this business, they are pretty robotic and annoying sometimes.
But, on to what matters, the Bakery and the food! There is a really wide range of saccharine treats to send your palette reeling! The way the simplest and most complex flavor profiles mesh is an amazing thing to experience. You can very quickly tell that baking is a passion of the creator of this profitable business, just like the employees that work here.
The staff is super friendly and helpful no matter how busy it gets, and my gods, does it ever get busy and hectic sometimes, especially the weekends, graduation days, holidays etc. To the intelligent consumer this alone is the best type of marketing, and the lines never feel eternal or purgatory-like.
The location is nestled right off the Kirby Strip between Westpark and Richmond, easy to find, easy to navigate.
Parking leaves something to be desired as the spaces feel very close together and claustrophobic, this is not made any better by the absolute celery heads that operate solely with headinanus, but I digress. If you’ve ever experienced this crowd on a regular basis you know you need to operate for two, them and you.
The DG offers tried and true, as well as custom options, with many levels to said customization. While the price tag will match the effort, the product you will receive is nothing short of perfect and will dazzle the intended recipient while also garnering you the envy of others that did not consider catering to the event at the level you did.
Small area for tables mostly seating for two, which makes a quick bite to end a date night, or just for something sweet the most logical. Not the place you want to bring 1,000 kids for yours and the other patrons sanity.
The menu offers a wide range of options and the added convenience of perfection,...
Read moreSo disappointing. Service is very mediocre and so are the desserts. We ordered the Strawberry cream cake, the Mommy's Chocolate cake, and 2 easter themed cupcakes. Strawberry Cream cake was good. Which is why I give at least 2 stars. But omg. The Chocolate was stiff and did not taste fresh. The Easter cupcakes were the worst I have ever experienced. First off the icing was hard as a rock. My daughters were like the icing is so hard. I had touch for myself. You could literally squeeze and it cracked broke like a cracker. I took it to the counter to tell them. The rep stated ALL OF THE CUPCAKES ARE LIKE THAT. IT'S SOMETHING WITH THE FOOD COLORING. But insisted the cupcakes were fresh. This was very odd to me. I've never heard of such nonsense. However I gave her the benefit of doubt bec she said the cupcake part itself is soft. WRONG AGAIN. My girls scrape icing off and bit it. I can tell just by looking at it, not soft or fresh. I confirm myself by attempting a bite. Nope. Cupcake was stiff and dry. I bring the cupcakes back to the counter again and asked for something else. The rep offers to change it for regular cupcakes. Immediately I can feel these are softer the minute she hands it to me. Fresher than the other ones...daughters ate those later on. It wasn't just the fact of poor food it was also lack of empathy and no apology or remorse for serving poor quality food or my experience.
Update: I spoke to a manager. He apologized for my experience and refunded me...
