Dough Zone, a new dumpling haven in town, has quickly become a standout for fans of authentic, high-quality Chinese dumplings. From the moment you walk in, the sleek, modern décor strikes the perfect balance between casual and inviting, with clean lines and a welcoming atmosphere that feels both cozy and contemporary. The service is friendly and attentive, with staff eager to explain the menu and suggest their best offerings.
The true star of Dough Zone is, of course, the dumplings. The menu offers a wide variety of options, all made fresh to order. The Soup Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) are a must-try. The delicate, thin skin holds a perfectly balanced broth that bursts in your mouth with each bite, delivering the ideal combination of rich, savory flavor. Another standout is the Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings, crispy on the bottom while tender and juicy on the inside. The crispy outer layer adds a satisfying crunch, creating a textural contrast to the succulent filling.
Dough Zone’s Signature Dumplings are another highlight—filled with a well-seasoned mix of pork, shrimp, and chives, these dumplings are the perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet. For those looking to explore beyond traditional pork dumplings, the Chicken and Mushroom Dumplings offer a flavorful, lighter alternative without sacrificing richness.
While the dumplings steal the show, the sides and accompaniments also deserve praise. The Zha Jiang Mian (noodles with soybean paste) are rich, hearty, and packed with flavor, while the Spicy Szechuan Wontons provide a nice kick of heat to balance the richness of the dumplings.
Dough Zone is a delightful addition to the local food scene, offering a menu full of fresh, flavorful dumplings that will keep you coming back for more. Whether you're a dumpling enthusiast or a newcomer, this spot offers something for...
Read moreI’ve been going to this establishment countless times and even all the other locations. Food is great every single time! But for some reason, this past time I went was the first time I’ve ever received bad service. The employees are very nice, don’t get me wrong. But, what happened to checking up on us, refilling waters, napkins, taking away finished plates, and making sure we get the check??? I was shocked because I’ve never had to doubt the service I was given. I do wish the employees were more attentive, although I’m not familiar with the ones that served me this time, the other times were great! They basically just hand you the paper to order, place your order in the system, and give you the food. There’s no service. Also, the tray where they put the sauces and chili oil were sticky and had sauce spilled and there was also a straw wrapper from previous customers which I feel should be wiped and cleaned for the next customer just like how the tables are. I also had to wait at least 15 minutes for my check when clearly all our dirty dishes were on the table and empty. I had to get up just for one of the servers to realize I was ready to check out. From what I saw, the servers didn’t seem to be doing much considering there were only 2 tables (including us) at the time so I don’t understand why they couldn’t have checked up on us. Side note, I know this is not their fault but the braised pig ears was no longer on the menu, which was something I order every time, as well as the ginger and sauce trays they don’t give those out anymore. I do love this place and the food, maybe it’s just this location but I feel like they could do...
Read moreExceptionally mediocre. Went for restaurant week since it was close to my place and seemed quick. Server was nice, but inattentive. The food ranged from bad to okay at best. The Dan Dan noodles lacked much flavor at all. It was closer to ramen with an egg, mayo, and Sriracha than what I would hope for with a restaurant. They use Szechuan peppercorns a lot, which I personally don't like, so I wasn't a big fan. If you like those, you might like it more than I did. I just wish they disclosed it like other restaurants generally do when they use them since it's such an odd experience. The Xiao long bao was the best thing I had on the menu, but even that was simply just okay. I am not confident that they were made to order since they usually come out a lot less firm and need time to cool. These you could nearly just pop the whole things in your mouth without getting burned. The beef pancake thing looked very pretty, but I'm pretty sure the cow was happy that those parts were taken off. Also had the pepper corns in it, but the beef itself was extremely tough and flavorless. I like to consider myself an adventurous eater, but I have no idea what part of the cow that cut came from. The pan fried dumplings were beautifully presented, but also just okay at best flavor wise.
Glad I tried it, glad part of my bill is going to charity, but I don't think I'll...
