Friohana Shave Ice (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Houston

Tried it once on Sabine rd and it was great. The ice was very airy nice and soft and great flavors and the shaved ice was served on a flower cup. Came by today 07/08/23 to the Herman square location and I must say it sucked and it wasn't worth the drive nor the waste of gas. The ice wasn't like eating shaved ice it was like eating a regular raspa from Tampico. The Pina colada flavor wasn't Pina colada it was water no flavor and sorry to say but I wouldn't return and give my money away if I can make something exactly alike at home. Shave ice was good but did not give enough ice or syrup. The cup still had a quarter to go before the ice/syrup would have reached to the top. I wish I would have taken a picture. The ice literally melted a few blocks away. Like everyone before me states "they don't pack the ice" they give you a thin serving so it melts quickly. Employee seemed a little annoyed that I didnt tip. After paying 5 dollars and then not filling the ice and syrup to the rim I dont see any reason to tip you. I decided to stop by here today and try the mango and peña colada both with condensed milk as topping. Yes the topping is extra which I did not mind at all but the amount I got was was less than $1 worth. I have to agree with other reviewers on here that the ice is not typical Hawaiian soft shaved ice. It was on the harder side. I had lots of hard chunks. The flavors were very artificial tasting and not many to choose from. This snow cone is pretty much your basic snow cone. I did not see or taste any of the hype.
