I made a reservation online for 11:30 but when we arrive we were told they did not have our reservation but they can give us a table. The restaurant look like a ghost town there was only two other tables with patrons. Let me state that the establishment opened at 11am. So they were not open that long. My party set at a table that was accomadating for our size but we were told we had to move because they had a reservation for the table. The waitress set us at the table right next to it. The restaurant did not start getting other tables until about 12: 30pm. At 2:00pm when we left the restaurant still was not up to half capacity. The table that she told us that they had a reservation did not get seated until a 1:50pm with a party of 2. 10 minutes prior to us leaving. We had a party of 10. It was explained to us that we had to spend atleast $300. I had ladies in my party that had to eat with there plate in there laps. If they had a reservation I guess it was for 2pm. Management could have said we have a reservation for 2pm. we can seat you but you will have to be off the table by 2 or they could have set us at anyone of the other empty tables versus letting guess eat with there food in there lap. The website says that there is free parking and plenty of it. But we had to pay for parking. Ladies with your heels on watch your step once you pass security to walk into the establishment there is a hold that needs to be fixed. The atmosphere was nice and there are plenty of places to take nice pictures. We had 3 people who order chicken and waffle. The menu says 3 whole wings and waffles but when our plates arrived to the table there were only 2 wings. I went to the waitress and she said that it should be pieces. So I went back to the table grabbed my phone and pulled up there menu that the waitress had us scan to show her. There kitchen expedited told me that she knew they only had two pieces. I was a little baffled because if you knew why would you send them to the table without the proper amount. Ok the expeditor is the person who checks the plates before they go to the server. Making sure they are pleasing to the eyes and to make sure that they have everything that was ordered. They did correct and give us the other 3 wings. My ladies and myself enjoyed the food and the portion sizes. But a manager never came to check on our table nor to say thank you for patronizing there establishment. The waitress was not friendly and did not seem to care that we had people eating out of there lap because they could not put there plate on the table. They are quick to put a higher tip on a party of 10 or more but the service should reflect that. Overall the experience at this restaurant was not a good one. I guess Customer...
Read moreWe traveled from Alabama to Texas for a bachelorette trip and reserved a booth in advance for $200. We were informed via text that there was a 3-bottle minimum for the section.
Upon arrival, we were not greeted for approximately 15â20 minutes. I had to flag down our waitress, Kee/Spain, to place our order. She took our food order with noticeable attitude. Our food was brought out by someone else, and we had to request silverware since several of us were unable to eat without it. Despite multiple requests, it took another follow-up to finally receive it.
At around 11 PM, the waitress approached us to ask if we were ready to order our bottles. By that point, we had less than an hour until closing, and we explained that ordering and consuming 3 bottles in such a short time wasnât reasonable. She then claimed the minimum was actually 4 bottles, contradicting the previous communication.
When we asked to speak with a manager, she responded rudely with, âDo yâall want the bottles or not?â and stormed off without another word. Shortly after, security/constable came and told us we had to leaveâeven though we had paid for food, hookah, and the booth reservation. The constable was very respectful and polite but doing as instructed.
A person who identified himself as the owner (who was sitting in a section of his own) came over and initially said we could stay. However, once the waitress returned, he changed his stance and asked to see proof of the 3-bottle minimum. We showed him the text confirmation, but he still insisted we leave and informed us that we would not receive a refund.
The overall customer service was extremely disappointing. We visited many other establishments in Houston (Trill on Wheels, The Locker Room, Karma, Forget Me Not, Savoy, Kamp) during our trip, all of which were professional, kind, and attentiveâunlike the experience we had here. I absolutely do...
Read moreTaco Tuesdays. Tacos are $1 all night. Other than that, they have the best watered down premium liquor you can find along I45...and no drink menu. How are you a bar with NO drink menu? Well, a Whiskey sidecar was $21 , a watered down Crown on the rocks was $10 and a Crown no ice that was literally a swallow at the bottom of the glaas was also $10 LOL. So not sure if they are just stingy on Tuesdays or if this is an everday occurrence. Ask for drink prices before ordering to keep from catching a case, lol. Seaside, you need a drink menu!
NOTE: 20% gratuity is already included in your total bill when they hand you the reader to pay. They don't show you your bill, just the total amount with option to tip AGAIN which is why it only has 7%, 8% and 10% tip amounts. They will run down everything they added on your bill but will NOT volunteer that a 20% gratuity is tacked on too. Ask to see your bill! Waitresses are extremely nice and considerate.
If you haven't been since they renovated it may be worth it to get reacquainted. The outside seating area and rooftop is spacious with plenty room for groups to enjoy themselves. The DJ keeps the best rachet music in rotation and u hear it no matter where you sit. They have heat lamps for cooler nights.
FOOD & DRINK: $1 regular tacos, $3 birrias and the oxtail tacos are all my favs. However, the quality or type of beef seems to change from week to week. Sometimes lean other times fatty. To drink: I get what I call my $5 Holla....a $1 margarita + $1 Mexican candy shot + $1 Blanco shot. Add those 2 shots to your margarita and then get 2 more $1 Blanco shots to throw back and you'll have a $5 holla better than any drink the bartender makes!
The frozen Dusse and lemonade ($12) was great my first visit, but weaker every visit afterwards. Overpriced but flavorful. Hookah is $40. Park behind the lounge for $10 or...
