Güzel Cakes Gourmet Desserts — Restaurant in Houston

Ms. Gisselle has something on her hands and this is a must experience type dessert! Today I went there, and I met her staff as she was taking Social media photos for her wonderful desserts. Ms. Gisselle was so kind to my kids and made them all feel comfortable, which also demonstrates incredible customer service, but also took the time to allow them to tell the staff what they wanted. The kids were excited and loved every single bite of the delicious delights. Everything was perfect! I had the vanilla pudding cookie butter drizzle, which is also called “Love On Top”. The vanilla pudding cake has a caramel drizzle lightly sprinkled around and through it, but there are two cookies that sit on the lower region deeper in the cake and also on the surface. In order to enhance the experience, you must get a portion of the cookies to go along with the pudding cake. The flavors are married to each other perfectly and it’s delicious. It’s so disappointing to see people running onto Google to attempt to tear down a business that just opened less than two weeks ago. Because you were “inconvenienced” by driving to the location and it was closed - did you ever think to call first? Probably not. Then, one reviewer had the nerve to give a 1-star rating, citing initially that she loves Guzel cakes. So, you never bothered to give a positive rating while you were gobbling up the amazing desserts, but you now want to give a 1 star rating because the hours were incorrect? Consumers just HATE to give grace these days, but if the shoe were on the other foot, they would expect it. Maybe to save yourselves from self-inflicted disappointment, don’t go to businesses that have literally just opened up. Wait a...

So let’s talk about Guzel Cakes a black owned business in Houston Texas. I tried the Banana Pudding at Lost and Found and baby I said I want more. I looked up the business and went straight to this nice beautiful location to now felt like I fell right into desert heaven. The hubby and I purchased, Vanilla Puddingcake Strawberry Cheesecake, Biscoff Cookies & Cream and of course more Banana Pudding. So I don’t know if it was just our luck day or what because the owner herself came in and baby she allowed us to taste some of everything including the crust off a fresh baked pound cake out the back. We not gone talk about the ice cream with the fresh strawberries and blueberry alone with the pound cake and other toppings. This is the perfect sweet spot.
