2 for 2 thus far and back to back days. Just moved to the Meyer Forest Area, tried this place yesterday for lunch, chicken and veggies Szechuan, Hot and sour soup and Veggie egg rolls. Bingo Bango Bongo on all 3. My wife tried what I had gotten and was pretty thrilled too. We came back for dinner today and purchased 2 different items to split and try. Orange Chicken and Spicy Beef and Vegetable dinner. Both great. Fried rice is excellent (Uncle Roger approved) we tried the chicken egg rolls and got more hot and sour soup, but the spicy version this time. All great. My one and only suggestion would be an option to ask for an even spicier version of the hot and sour soup. The hot is tasty, we like to clear our sinuses with this though 😂. All in all completely thrilled to have such an excellent Chinese/Japanese/Vietnamese restaurant near our new residence. Y'all have a new regular. My wife is a tough cookie for Chinese food, y'all nailed it. Thank you. I could eat this morning noon and...
Read moreMy girl friend and I went Hu's Garden at noon with the Groupon we bought ($25 Value for Four People). When we showed then the Groupon, the waiter told us we cannot use it because we have to be four people and order at least two Entrees. I said this requirement does not show on the term. But the waiter told they just changed the policy so you just cannot use it. This is really irritating and does not make any sense. That's it? No, not really. When I told them that we will just cancel the Groupon and about to leave. To my surprise, the waiter talked to another waiter in Chinese, these two SB (In English: these two Morons). I think the waiter did not expect we can speak Chinese and I almost have a fight with him. Anyway, if you go there, they may also curse you with dirty languages. BTW, just FYI, it is about 12pm when we were there and there were only 2-3...
Read moreIt's hard to find a Chinese restaurant open for sit down dining, Hu's was so we did. The General Tso's off the lunch special was 4 stars, the veggie egg roll was 4 stars....could've been a little hotter, the wonton soup was 5 stars...we loved the broth and the slightly al dente wonton. The beef and mushroom on the lunch menu was 4 stars, it had two kinds of mushrooms, one kind was tasty and the other was chewy. They didn't have their A.C. on, don't know why, but it was kind of warm. We enjoyed our second visit to Hu's. My wife and I had dinner. We shared and carried leftovers home of General Tso's Chicken with jalapenos and broccolli, it had great flavor with a hint of spicy heat. We shared a large bowl of wonton soup. They even have miso soup which my wife may get next time. We shared a few appetizers like pork fried eggrolls, fried crab rangoon....
