Hubcap Grill

I was returning from Mississippi and this restaurant seemed a good option and since I was alone I tried sitting at the bar to grab a burger and a drink. I arrived at 11:55 am and after waiting almost 10 minutes I noticed bartender was too busy talking with the barback employee and me and another customer were waiting to be served. To my left there was a couple waiting the same amount of time to close their tab and they were not even making eye contact with costumers. I walked to the host and asked to be seated somewhere else since it looked like they were not into providing a good customer service. I moved to a table at 12:07 pm and in less than 2 minutes server Sarah came was very polite and took my order that was out in less than 4 minutes. Sarah was attentive and checked on how the food came out and if I needed anything else. To my right there were 2 dirty tables that remained dirty until I almost finished my meal. Tables were cleaned at 12:26pm. I never saw the managers on duty Edwin and Tray nor they came to me to apologize for the poor customer service the female bartender provided. Food was good taste was good and my server was very good. Managers seem to be disconnected from the operations and so their employees. If you are ever in the Hobby Airport go somewhere else to eat for sure you will have a...

The food was so bland it barely tasted like anything. I had a simple egg sandwich at a coffee shop that same morning that had more flavor than their cheeseburger with everything on it. I had the tater tots and my fiancé had the fries and both were just not good. The shakes were pretty good though, so kudos for that. The service was great especially for an airport but they told us it would be a 25-30 min wait. There was no room to wait by the restaurant so we waited across the corridor and after a few minutes realized we couldn’t hear any of the names being called, so I went to check our place in line and were told they had already called us and scratched our name off the list. They re-added us and got us in fairly quickly but be warned to try to stay as close as possible because they do not announce the names nearly loudly enough (even though the foot traffic makes that hard). The atmosphere was nice and it seemed clean except the ceiling which was yellowing for some unknown reason. Overall would not recommend unless you come for the milkshakes or like...

Horrible customer service. It was not crowded and sat there for 13 min before someone acknowledged me. It prob would have been longer if a group of ladies didnt come. I felt discriminated against. The sad part is the lady was black as well. The two new women that sat down were white and were acknowledged right away. She took their order and took mine since I was sitting right next to the staring at her. She was so friendly to them but not to me. Very short and had an attitude. I ordered a drink and a water. She brought the drinks and apologized to the ladies about taking so long but said nothing to me. She sat my drink down (forgot my water) and left. After asking a second time for my water, I paid my bill and left. She gave me warm water with no ice in a Togo cup lol very horrible experience. I would NEVER go to this place again. Her name on the receipt says Lola. If anyone reads this, she...

Very sticky bar, feels icky sticky. The Crème De Menthe Chocolate Chip milk shake dosen't come with chocolate chips, as indicated on the menu. The ribeye on the Philly Cheesesteak Burger is not thinly sliced as indicated in the menu. It is small cubes, about the size of a typical aspirin. There were only 2 in my burger. There were no onions on the the burger, as indicated on the menu. There were only 3 (again, aspirin sized) bits of green bell pepper on the burger. the burger was only available well done, but they did let me know this at the time that I ordered. That, was not indicated on the menu anywhere. The bun was stale. I was starving, but this was still the worst burger I've eaten in a decade. The sweet potato fries looked good, but we're cold. They tasted fine considering they were cold.

Waiting for the plane after the snow storm. Decided to give Hubcap a try. First thing, please update your menu that is on the airport website. Two totally different menus between that and what is offered onsite. I ordered the Crawford Bock. $11.50 a pour. Very tasty Bock. Very surprised for a local beer as a bock, to me, are not something I usually see from a local brewery. I thought it would be darker, but it was on the lighter side. Ordered the bacon cheese fries with ranch and jalapenos. Food came out fast and it was hot. Perfect. Could not ask for anything better today. Lastly, I know you may be saving money using the solo cups for serving beer, but it gets warm pretty quick. I recommend getting some pint glasses and chill them.

Had a 4-hour layover, should’ve kept walking around to see what other places there were. This place was just okay (granted it is an airport). I had the waffle burger, the waffles were bland and not very warm, the cheese slice wasn’t even melted, the burger was cooked too long so it was dry, the syrup helped a little. My boyfriend got the corn chips burger. It was better. But what WAS worth it was the fries(hell fries). Customer service was okay as well. Our server overheard us talking about everything and took $2 off our tab. Very pricy but it was the airport. $10 per burger and $5 if you want fries with that. Also they were out of milkshake mix(what is this McDonald’s 😂)
