So I travel to Houston a few times a year and for the last year or so I always order a cheesesteak from this particular Jersey Mike's location in the Gulfgate Mall. I order it delivered on UberEats to my hotel.
Let me be clear without any hesitation - this store is awesome and they have wonderful staff. I just ordered a cheesesteak tonight and spoke to the GM Nick on the phone ahead of time. I told him how I liked my cheesesteak made and he made it and it was DELICIOUS!! Honestly it was perfect. Nick is a great GM who cares about his customers.
There also is another employee that usually is the one who makes my cheesesteak and her name is Minerva. She was so nice and friendly the first time I called to ask her if she could make my cheesesteak and I told her how I want it prepared. She was totally willing to do it and she makes it wonderfully as well just like Nick.
Bottom line is I like Jersey Mike's a lot but this location imo is the best. From great food and great employees, you really won't be disappointed getting a sub from this...

There was a guy cleaning when we walked in, he greeted us politely and walked to the back to make orders not sure if he washed his hands due to the food made me and my daughter sick, w/ diarrhea, vomiting and stomach pain. The lady that took our order was rude and seemed annoyed by our presence, I let her know it was our first time eating at jersey Mike's. Which she ddnt even smile and just continued to look at us as if if to say just hurry up and order. We took a Lil long to order due to being not familiar with the menu, when we ask questions about the menu she was annoyed and made us feel very unwanted. She's white med built, she had on a blue collared shirt hope shes not a manager because that would be sad very poor customer service. Read moreMy family has been coming here for a few years; initially sporadic, we’ve now upped the visits to ~5 or so monthly. The staff is always friendly and attentive, kindly welcoming each customer even at their busiest moments. I’d yet to counter any issue with my orders; whether online, over the phone, or in person, until today. It was a super minor mix-up, and it would have been fixed before I left had I checked the bag (ordered online) prior to leaving. I called and Angel was able to immediately find a solution, without the inconvenience of having to go back to the store. Truly a great experience, even with the one-off. The only complaints I’ve ever heard (from others) is that there can be a ‘wait’ at times, but there are only a few of them and a swarm of customers showing up simultaneously tends to do that; if you’re in a hurry make one at home lol.
