LA Crawfish — Restaurant in Houston

I tried their Magic fried rice today and it got me sick. I had a bad diarrhea and indigestion. Not sure what they put in it but it was really bad. The color of the rice was almost black as well. I don’t think I want to order any food from them anymore after today’s experience.

2nd Review. 4/18/2025. I had tried some crawfish at another location and it was not bad last year so I decided to get some at this location on the way home from H-mart. I wanted to give it at one more shot. Wow another disappointing experience. First, I had ordered cajun flavor and as you can see in the picture both the seasonings and the crawfish were all BLACK! Not sure how they cooked it and what they put in the seasoning but I’ve never seen any black crawfish like that. Also, it was super salty! It tasted like they just dumped a whole bucket of salt. Btw, the guy who took my order (short Asian man) seemed rather annoyed when I changed the flavor for one pound out of four. It was only less than a minute I asked to change it. It would’ve been a good customer service if he said: Sure! Not a problem. I can changed that for you! I would’ve been really appreciative. Overall, a bad experience once again. Therefore, today I have finally decided not to go back to any location of La Crawfish. They used to be really good but not sure what happened..Very...

It is the worst experience ever!!! We had 4 pounds crawfish here. We understand it is off season so we accepted those dry, unpalatable crawfish without saying anything. And this restaurant needs pay first we gave them $8 tips out of $40 bill. And self-serving everything. However, after we got home, about 2-3 hours later. Both me and my boyfriend feel sick, and I throw up. We had nothing before and after this meal. So I called them. The guy said food poisoning usually happens after 24 hours and I don't think this is the issue about us, probably something you ate last night. I was upset after hearing it. Food poisoning is something way serious than having staleness food. If we had food poisoning from you, I'm gonna sue you not letting you know now! And beside we had dinner at home last night! Then I asked him 3 times if you use fresh crawfish or not. He just kept telling me that they are pre cooked. Then I said if you use fresh, dead or frozen crawfish for pre cooked. He said FROZEN. You are selling FROZEN CRAWFISH and without letting people know??!! Good luck with...

Crab legs were great as always. Shrimp wasn't as good as I expected, though it wasn't the worst. Maybe my expectations were a bit too high as far as customer service goes, but I was quite annoyed with my last visit there. I spent over $130 and after we sat down (paid in advance at the counter) and received our food, I wanted to add another Calamari which is around $8 or so. Because my hands were dirty with boiled shrimp and Crab legs I wanted to pay toward the end of the meal after I clean my hands again. Apparently, unless I paid in advance even while dining in (after already paying $130+) they would not bring out that order. I passed on it. I understand the fear of being burned by dishonest people that may or may have "ate and run" but I would think that after someone pays over $100, $8 would be a very low concern. My tips alone for a day like that would normally be 25+ but I was very annoyed so I that didn't happen. Normally I'm not this long winded when leaving a review but that really rubbed me the wrong way. Still good...
