Stay away!! Twice in 10 days they served foul meat. Ordered the dim sum steamed spareribs with squash. It was so rotten it smelled like vinegar. We didnt eat it, we complained they gave us something else. So since that is one of my favorite dishes and i come to the mall often, i came back again and again same dish was foul. How do you guys serve foul meat after someone complains and you could smell it was off but then continue to serve it to other people??? I spoke with someone who said he wasnt the manager but he told me everything comes frozen from Cali. So years ago i had stopped eating from the left side where the roast duck hangs because of how pathetic they look. Seriously i have never seen roast duck look like that. Fire that cook plez! Plus fire the manager because its obvious there is ZERO quality control. I will take a pic of the duck n post it up next time because it usually looks real bad. Now i and my friends will never eat at this place. 3 of us usually eat here 2xs a week at average $35 each because we buy extra to take home for work lunch. You lost 6 x 52 = 312 x $35 = $10,920 dollars just from the 3 of us. Most people dont complain they just...
Read moreFantastic price for fantastic food! The portions are generous and the food is hot and fresh. All dishes are under $10 with some under $9. My favorite is the fried chicken cutlet with rice (pictured). It always comes with a marinated egg, some veggies, and stewed mince meat/tofu to go with the rice. You really can't beat this deal! I also really like the beef noodle soup, but would recommend eating this in and not takeout since the noodles will stiffen because the noodles and soup are separated in takeout. The pan-fried chive buns and pan-fried vegetable dumplings are also very good. They both have a crispy skin! The cold sides (tofu skin with celery and stewed peanuts) are also very good and garlicky, although there may be a smaller selection to choose from at this location than the one in Chinatown.
I grew up going to the Chinatown location and this 99 Ranch location's food is just as good. Honestly a Houston...
Read moreI grew up on Sandong dumplings and rice plates so when this location opened up inside 99 Ranch, I was ecstatic.
I've had almost everything on their menu but low-key my favorite thing here is their pan-fried chive buns. These things are filled with chives, clear noodles, dried shrimp, and scrambled eggs.
Their pan-fried dumplings will stand up to any dumplings in town. The steamed dumplings are no slouch either.
I was afraid it wouldn't be as good since it's been a minute, but I came by today and the food is even better than I remembered! I'm so happy that the food quality at this location is the same as the original location.
It's located inside 99 Ranch, right between the Chinese BBQ stand and the sushi counter. Everything entree here is under $9 bucks. For the price, you can't get any...
