La Fresca — Restaurant in Houston

My review concerns solely the quality of the pizza and nothing else. That being said, the pizza is indistinguishable from Dominos. We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and if you served me a slice of Dominos thin crust pepperoni and and a slice of LaFresca thin crust pepperoni pizza, I would not be able to tell which is which. That's great for people who like Dominos, however, for people who hate Dominos/Little Caesars/Pizza Hut, like myself, it's not so good.

The sauce is mediocre, the cheese had a peculiar slightly sour taste, it was dripping grease, and the crust was somehow doughy and crunchy at the same time. I wanted to like the pizza, but it's just not very good. Sam's Club pizza has a better taste. I hate leaving bad reviews because I know how hard it is to carve out a place in Houston's food scene, but this pizza might as well have been frozen Torino's pizza.

I don't think I'll be ordering...

Living in Kingwood I realized something really wrong had changed with pizza there. They have both doubled in price and (please do not think I'm exaggerating) they literally stop the toppings at over 2 inches from the outside of the edge. I thought it was everywhere, but since we were hungry and near River oaks I spotted a sign saying "large, 5 topping pizza 15.99" i thought well for that price we have nothing to lose. For 15.99 for the most delicious, full of FRESH toppings, and just like it used to be toppings on the entire pizza. We have committed to driving to River oaks once a week to get this pizza." We spent $37 for one medium pizza, two salads, & an order or cheesticks while my husband was in the hospital. The kids picked it up.

The pizza's appearance, size, & taste was that of a very cheap frozen pizza. It was horrible. 1st meal we were allowed to have from the outside since being admitted & it was SO disappointing.

The salads (antipasta & Mediterranean) are not worth their price either. The cafeteria had better looking & tasting ones. Missing ingredients, cheap dollar store ingredients. Again, SO disappointing.
