Be careful what you order here if you are on a budget!
It’s been years since I’ve been here and I can’t believe how expensive things are now esp with their veggie “protein.”
I thought I was ordering a small vegetarian $10 salad but after they added a small scoop of quinoa and half of an avocado my salad became $16.
I unfortunately realized this too late (after I already paid ). When I asked to the staff how my bill got so high, and to see if I could get a partial refund for something I didn’t know was $4 (almost half the cost of the salad itself by the way), they said they couldn’t help me at all - but to try calling the manager tomorrow. I did that and spoke with the manager - mentioned my experience the day before and my shock with the price - he said there are signs posted and those are the prices. I mentioned that I didn’t notice the signs and wasn’t told there’d be a big charge for quinoa, and he said there wasn’t anything he could do and was in the middle of a lunch rush. I told him I was disappointed and wouldn’t be returning in the future and he acknowledged. A letdown esp since I used to go to this location, years ago, when it first opened!
Writing this - I’m still shocked that a small vegetarian salad at a fast food restaurant is $16. Some people reading this might say “well that’s just inflation.” But in my world this is excessive.
And lastly - it seems we have prices mixed up in this world : healthier food that is cheaper to produce is overpriced, and unhealthy food - esp food that involves killing animals - is...
Read moreI went to Salata after not eating all day bc my son was in surgery. I stopped right after leaving Texas Children's Hospital with my son. Craving a salad, I excitedly went in only to be completely let down not by the food but by the "manager" Helen. I put that in quotes bc if she was really the manager, I can not believe she would have done what she did to me. I went to pay with a coupon with no expiration dates listed; however, it did not list that particular location. So she refused to accept my coupon. I then asked if she would rather throw this salad away than honor my coupon? Her response was “yes”, and of course, I did not receive any type of apology. So Helen would rather waste food and money for her location bc my coupon was not going to cover it all. I would still have had to pay the remaining balance. It is just sad bc this is the complete opposite of good customer service. Oh, and she was training a new employee, so these were the customer service skills she exhibited in front of the new employee. The new guy was actually nice to me and felt sorry and apologized a...
Read moreI’m a regular customer that goes to Salata a few times a month. But on 7/26/24 they did not give me enough protein on my salad. They didn’t give me a full scope. So I asked could the worker Jonah Please could I have a little bit more protein. He rudely says I’m gonna charge you extra. I said just for a little bit more you’re going to charge me extra? So I told him no thanks because he clearly was rude and had an attitude from the start. The other workers are great, but this was a clear indication he does not want to go above and beyond for the customer, especially a customer who spends my money on the product. Instead of him being kind and gracious. Johan did not sell anything because he refused to honor the request, and he was seeking me to pay more for a small portion of protein. Also, the restaurant was not busy and only one other customer was in the store. The the salad was wasted because it was not purchased by me. Instead he would rather waste product then fullfill a customer request. I will not be going to this location unless they correct...
