OK so here’s the skinny, these are wine-based. Now if you’ve never had a daiquiri that is wine-based let me tell you it’s an instant headache. I felt hung over almost immediately after having my strawberry daiquiri. I’m from New Orleans where we have walk through, drive-through, walk up, etc. daiquiri bars on every corner. Daiquiris usually are rum based with added The Corrs or syrups for flavor. I didn’t even know you could make a wine-based daiquiri. It tasted all right though you could extremely taste the alcohol it wasn’t like having a fruity cocktail where the alcohol taste if someone messed it was very strong. Like the kind that gives your ugly face when you sip it for the first time. If you’re college age and not yet experiencing hangovers of any kind then this might be a fun parlay into the world of adult beverages. However if you’re 40 something been there done that Cringe at the thought of mad dog 2020 or Boones farm, then you’re probably in the same boat as I am and this is not gonna be something you’re going to enjoy very much.
