Just note that this had a soft opening on August 16, 2024 as the staff is new and they are in the process of getting down their systems and processes.
Despite that we had a wonderful experience with our family of seven at this location. the kimchi tasted homemade, and the marinates on the meats also tasted extremely fresh. The high-quality of the beef and the pork was tender after cooking. The octopus and shrimp also tasted fresh and not frozen. The different variety of dipping sauces was nice however all typically focus more on the meats with kimchi and just a little bit of rice. The egg appetizer was delicious and soft and a very nice touch the kimchi stew and the jig also tasted delicious.
The staff were extremely attentive, although note that it was the first day that they opened and about 930 at night, so there wasn’t a lot of other patrons, but appreciated their attentiveness and helping us cook some of the meats and also cut some of the meats at the grill.
The owner stopped by to check in on how we’re doing and that was really a nice touch because he really wanted to know our feedback. he shared with us why he decided to open up the restaurant and provide high-quality Korean barbecue in the area.
The atmosphere is very clean modern and the grill tops and air ventilation was top-notch. The entrance has a very large bar if that interests you.
There is ample parking at this restaurant and not from the front, but also from the side
I highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back again and checking in with the family. Both my sons thought this was one of the better Korean restaurants that they could recall and the greater Houston area and note that we probably eat at a different Korean restaurant at least...
Read moreOne star for our nice, 'new' waitress and some decent food options. First of all, if your menu has typos and mistakes, own up to it and do not blame your mistake on new employees. The owners were so unprofessional, making it a point to come to our table and blame our mis-handled order on the 'new waitress'. Three out of five us could see the highlighted info, if that is not what you offer with each a la carte dish, then your menu should be reprinted and fixed, but instead they blamed it on the new waitress "not knowing" which dish actually comes with those sides. Quality starts from the top down, and if you have owners throwing their new employees under the bus for their own confusing menu and poor training, there is no quality or integrity there. Second of all, the food overall just wasn't good. Perhaps this place caters more towards customers who just want the AYCE option and that's fine. But if you're going to offer a la carte for other customers, I'd expect it to be up to par. The cold noodles were bad, we did not even finish it. The broth was greasy and not refreshing, not like one we've ever had before. The banchan sides were limited and did not taste great. I did make it a point to finish my side soup which they made special since they "honored the mistake" of our waitress, aka their own from their mis-printed menu. The beef tartare and galbi were decent, but not enough to make up for the overall weird vibe the owners and other staff gave me. There are just too many other great options to go back...
Read moreThe food is great but it depends on what you like, alot of their meats have a sweet marinade so my wife and niece didn't like it as much as me and my son. You can't take the family and order what each person wants which is by far the worst thing about this place. If you want the buffet style, it's everyone gets that or nobody gets that. They bring all the meats raw to your table and you cook them the way you want. If you leave left overs its 16$ a pound or something and you cant take those with you. We ate everything no issues but we also ordered the way you are intended. Cooking the food is an experience but it really takes away from an expensive dinner when you do the work and have to wait to cook it all. The kimchi was good and spicy, the salad they bring you to start was good but also a little sweet sauce already on it. Would go back for a special occasion but definitely not somewhere I would go often. The male who wasn't even the server actually did more for us than the "server" did. They had a 35$ buffet and I saw something that was a 45$ version but they just gave us the 35$ i don't know if that price changes based on day or time but we went on a Saturday around 5pm. It wasn't busy at all but that's probably the price and how it's run. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great but that might just be me and not liking a ton of people around. I would find this very hard to take kids to that were below...
