I’ve gone to this location several times, but I after my last experience I will NEVER return. Not because their ice cream isn’t great, but because of the horrible customer service I received on Sunday, October 14th. I asked for his name after he had been completely rude to myself and my brother, and he stated “Luis”, but I’m unsure if he was telling the truth or not. I just wanted to make sure I wrote the review to help others avoid the experience we had. I’ve never felt so helpless and humiliated as I felt yesterday. I’ve been bragging about this location and their ice cream for several months to my brother who lives in Hawaii. He finally managed to come to Houston to visit. His flight got here late yesterday and after picking him up from George Bush airport, we fought through traffic to make it to the mall so he could finally get some of the ice cream I’ve been bragging about. We made it there just in time before they were closing, but guess what? The employee wouldn’t serve us. We walked up happy and excited ready to order. Not only did he not greet us or acknowledge our presence, he let us stand there a full 10 minutes as he was making someone’s order. When he finished, he walked away STILL not acknowledging us. I then said excuse me sir several times, and he then yelled loudly, “We’re closed!” I said sir, we got here before you closed, and you were making an order, which is why we were waiting for you to finish. He then came to the register and yelled AGAIN “We’re closed! That order I was making was an online order!” Even then, as much as I was already frustrated and embarrassed, I calmly explained to him that my brother was here from out of town, we made it there before they had officially closed, and could he make an exception and allow us to place the order based on the principle of us arriving in time. Don’t you know he stated verbatim “That was not his problem, he wasn’t making any more orders, and if he wanted to try it so bad, we could return tomorrow when they opened because it wasn’t his fault we got there too late”. Needless to say, I was angry and humiliated, but most of all shocked at the horrible customer service I received, and told him as much, still in a calm tone because I knew I would write this review. At that time I asked for his name, which is why I cannot confirm if he told the truth. Based on this experience and disregard of respect or customer service, they have officially lost a long term customer. I wrote this review so that their management will know the type of people they have representing their company, and also hold the employees accountable for their actions or lack thereof. If more people took the time to write reviews to make others aware, I feel it would be beneficial to the public and force management to hire employees that made customer service...
Read moreSmall and always busy shop but the staff is always on it. I enjoy coming here twice a month to treat myself to my favorite ice cream. I’m rating today because I was especially impressed on my last visit this past Friday evening when there was another young man there who appeared to be new and still in training. He seemed to have some anxieties and a little trouble keeping up but his coworkers who were also young were the best. They remained professional and patient never getting frustrated and gave him the guidance he needed while keeping the line moving. This helped the young man with his confidence and he was able to make my order perfectly. I actually left a tip. The environment remained positive the entire time and you could see him getting better and better. This is good old school training. Stopped by today around 8:30, We Were so indecisive of what flavors we wanted to get and the entire staff was helpful by giving us suggestions and let us sample a couple flavors. Everything was going great until a guy walked in from the next door business extremely rude. As soon as he started his order, he was attacking the girls to hurry with his order within a minute of him walking in to the store because he was short on time and left his store. I believe one of the workers kindly asked him something and he started attacking her, asked for her name and threatend her with her job. He kept repeating stuff like “I’m a manager, y’all just make some ice cream”. He claimed to be the manager from Buffalo Wild Wings. Again, the staff is great!
