I came here with my family which consisted of my husband and my three daughters. We arrived at it's like 8 p.m. and they didn't close until 10 p.m. they had a bunch of stuff already put away. I ordered a waffle cone with cheesecake ice cream and real strawberries mixed in. Unfortunately for me they didn't have strawberries on the line. They told me that they would go get some from the back I assumed it was going to be a walk-in cooler. It turned out that it was a freezer because my strawberries were frozen solid. To top it off the cheesecake ice cream literally had no cheesecake taste it tasted like plain vanilla. I could have gotten past the food not being right, but the two young girls that were working there we're so rude you me and my family for literally no reason other than I wanted strawberries. They seemed accomadating at first, but their attitudes towards us we're like how dare we make them work? And we hadn't even been inside for more than 30 seconds when they were rushing us to make a decision. I don't ever spend money at ice cream shops because I think it is a waste of money, but this was a treat for my family because my daughters had been good all day long so I thought that I would treat them to an ice cream cone. Unfortunately also for me they do not have a kids size anything which I find to be quite ridiculous because toddler kids are not going to eat a small cup or a small cone full of ice cream before it melts all over the damn place. so to summarize we received poor customer service, we were rushed, treated as if we were a nuisance, Marble Slab is not accommodating to young children, and I was sold frozen strawberries without even being told that they really were not ready to eat. I was also very disappointed to find out that they did not have any cheesecake bites to add into the cheesecake ice cream or anything cheesecake related. I would have thought that the strawberry I didn't would have been would like strawberry syrup and cut up strawberries so that when it's mixed in you can really taste the strawberry but no I only got a few pieces, like five, smally cut up, Frozen solid, strawberries. There were people that were already inside enjoying their ice cream when we arrived oh, and there were many people that came after us while we were there. Not one of them has any children whatsoever oh, and they were not treated the same that we were. So I can only conclude that these two young girls are prejudiced against families with children. In addition, I would like to add that I only purchased one small cup and one waffle cone with one add in and the total came to $13 and some change. This place is so overpriced. I ordered a birthday cake for my husband yesterday and paid for the cake over the phone. I attempted to pick it up today and was told they gave the cake to someone else. I told them them that only my husband and I knew of the cake order and is there a reason no one called me to confirm if I had authorized someone other than me to pick up the cake. The manager just told me she was busy and did not have time to call and confirm and apologized for the mistake. I did not get the cake I ordered and paid in advance and no concessions were provided with the exception of an order of ice cream. This is not acceptable. I am extremely disappointed in the service provided. A simple transaction, for a very special occasion, turned into a very bad experience. The ice cream cake was just okay. The cake portion was less than 1 inch thick so it really just seemed like I was eating a serving of ice cream. If you want an ice cream cake save your time and skip this place… go to Baskins-Robbins. They failed to make the order that we placed hours in advance. They didn’t even have the cookie cake we paid for. They said they would make a different one. Ok, sure. Mistakes happen. We left and came back only to find out the cookie decorator wasn’t even there and the untrained staff made it. They said a refund was not an option and we could only go get the right cookie the next day. We needed it that night. The cookie cake was poorly done and didn’t even taste good. I wasted almost $30 and my time. I emailed them and they said they would not give me the refund still.
I emailed them a few more times and they didn’t even respond. I have always loved marble slab, but they not only didn’t make the situation right and didn’t care to they didn’t even respond to my emails. They do not care about the customers they only care about your money. They would rather give you a cake that wasn’t done properly than refund you.
