I just stopped here to get my son an ice cream cake for doing really good as he's been struggling with school. Fransico was the only one there when we arrived, he was pleasant.. He took our order and since I had asked if he could add a few Oreos on the side of the cake, we waited to speak to the manager. Delia, the manager was helping someone else at the moment. We waited and didn't take the offers on the Oreos, instead went for writing in the cake. I was given a pen and a paper to write what I wanted. I wrote, "keep up the good work partner! " it was too big for the cake I had gotten. So, I wrote instead, "Great job Partner" . She wrote the words on the cake. I did had a small request... I asked if she could add the "!" At the end of word, partner. Francisco went to ask, he came out with the red ink pouch ( I'm not a cake designer so I don't know the name for it) and said she asked me to write it in there. Honestly, I think I could have tried to write draw an "!" But I didn't go to school for that nor did I get hired at marble slab to do this. I asked her to come out, please. The manager came out with her hands covered in chocolate and stated to me, she had chocolate in her hands. I asked her to wash them and help me, please. She then came out in a bad mood and was very rude about it. She is the manager of a well known location and a very well know Ice cream parlor, you'd expect to have Great service and leave happy, no matter what color or race you are. And I'm Hispanic. And so was she! Now, my sons cake's looks bad and we really like Marble slab. This was just a bad experience here, toady!...
Read moreWe visited this ice cream shop around 9:30 p.m. on a Friday night. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing from the start. One of our friends needed to use the restroom before ordering, and although there was a sign on the door that said, "Restroom is for paying customers only," the employee initially refused, stating that it was "closed." After some back-and-forth, and only after my friend promised she wouldn’t make a mess, he begrudgingly handed over the key. When I asked if the restroom was closed because it had already been cleaned, the employee mumbled something before admitting that was indeed the reason.
Then, when my friend went to order, she asked about their practices with the ice cream toppings, as she has a peanut allergy. The employee informed her that they use the same scoop for all toppings, regardless of allergens, and pointed out a sign that supposedly warns customers about this. As someone with an allergy, this was concerning, especially since many shops make an effort to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies.
Overall, the service was subpar, and the staff seemed largely indifferent to customer needs. The majority of the employees appeared to be quite young, and perhaps that inexperience contributed to the poor experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you're looking for friendly or...
Read moreOn Friday evening at approximately 9:30 PM, three women entered the store, displaying an unnecessarily sassy and dismissive attitude from the moment they arrived. The young employees, who were diligently attempting to accommodate their needs, were repeatedly interrupted as they tried to respond to the women’s inquiries. It was disheartening to witness this level of rudeness from three adult women, especially toward staff who were simply trying to assist them.
The behavior of these individuals not only disrespected the employees but also created an unpleasant atmosphere in the store, affecting the experience for other patrons, including myself and my family. The employees were making a sincere effort to be helpful, but their professional demeanor was met with abrupt and discourteous interruptions. Unfortunately, this exchange disrupted the overall mood and enjoyment of the evening for both the staff and other customers present.
The young lady that caused the initial problem failed to mention about her allergies to the employees and proceeded to talk over the young man that was helping her. This sort of conduct is inappropriate from the costumers, seeing it from a parent perspective who would hate to have that happen...
