Went into this location around 5pm today to pick up some facial essentials that I was out of. Of course I expected to be greeted at the door (and was) & asked courteously if they could help me. I declined, wanting to kind of free roam & shop, but before I could get into a 2nd aisle, another Sephora employee greeted me again & asked if they could help. Since they're here, I asked to see the Innisfree. They took me to the correct spot, handed me that product I was looking for then asked was there anything else? Of course, Youth to the People. He gestured politely to the end cap facing our left & said someone would be right over. Before I could even stare at it to decide what I wanted (and make a phone call) another person was asking if I needed help. I politely declined. Finally, I decided to mosey on over to the perfume section (with several eyes on me) since I wanted to sniff the Tom Ford. Couldn't get that far, ANOTHER sephora employee is in my space asking if i needed help & forcing conversation about scents. I didn't even bother to try a scent. I just went to the check out line--where I had to wait over 5 minutes to check out because there was only 1 register open & three folks ahead of me. Do we see the problem with this?
Sephora corporate office is so worried about loss prevention, they've made the experience of shopping unpleasant. The store WAS NOT busy (maybe 5 other people shopping) and the aisles have been redesigned shorter so you can see folks walking around plus, only loss prevention & God knows how many cameras are there. YALL CAN SEE ME EVERYWHERE I GO. Let me mosey & shop & daydream in peace. If I need any assistance I PROMISE i can find someone. it made me NOT WANT TO spend my money there. Truly had it not been 5pm traffic in Houston, TX on a wednesday, I would've left without any product & found peace of shopping at Ulta off of Studemont St. And when I did leave, two more people said goodbye-- two people who could've been...
Read moreDidnât appreciate being stalked at this Sephora location in the name of pretend customer service. Taking turns to indiscreetly-âdiscreetlyâ scope me out, approach me, and laugh about how another employee beat you to me (since they hadnât coordinated with you on their plans to sneak up on me..I guess? đ) when youâre each likely assigned to certain areas of the store so you couldâve assigned one person in the area I was in to keep an eye on me if I look sooo âsketchyâ đ. I didnât pay them any mind. If that kind of thing happens Iâll just ignore it and mind my business OR put you to work since you want to be a personal assistant THAT bad. I made my purchase and left but I shouldâve assigned a personal assistant to myself lol to hold a basket for me and walk with me through the entire store and discuss each product with me that I had interest in then only buy what I came there to âŚbecause if you want to work I can definitely put you to work. Now that wouldâve been top level đ¤ customer service đ. Management please do not respond. This review is being left in the style of Reddit. Itâs to share an experience, not to make direct requests to the company, location, or employees to do or change anything. I always crack up when people leave reviews saying things like âthey just lost a good customerâ or âI wonât be patronizing them ever againâ or âthey wonât be getting any of my businessâ..like babe youâre one customerâIâm preeeetty sure theyâll be fine đđđ. Donât leave the review for them, leave it for US, the people who tap the Reviews tab on Google. WE want to know. We want the scoop, the lowdown. âTell...
Read moreCame to this location for the first time because I was in the area. No one greeted me, and the looks that I received were very unfriendly. I walked around until I found what I was looking for. I tried to ask one employee a question. Still, she kept walking away intentionally, and the other pretended they were busy stocking, but kept talking to each other on their little microphones while looking at me. I felt very uncomfortable and profiled. Then another employee comes from the back and asked me if I was paying with a card she could check me out (no problem) As she checked me out she kept!! Looking inside the basket that I had and asked âis there anything else that you would like to add to this purchase?â Like NO!! If Im standing in line it is evident that I do not want to purchase anything else! I did not get a receipt either so I didnât know how to formally report this. Couldnât even shop in peace because I had a million eyes on me but NO ONE!!! Wanted to help me!!! Very unprofessional store! Poor...
