Nara Sushi Ramen — Restaurant in Houston

I googled 'ramen near me', and this place popped up, and it had 4 stars. As soon as I walked in the door, the door bell chimed, and a minute later, I was greeted by a waitress. I was the only person in the establishment. They had music playing in the background. I was seated immediately and was given an ample amount of time to look over the HH and regular menu. I ordered the chicken ramen with an egg and water. It took no time for my meal to be delivered to me. The broth was flavorful, and I didn't need to add any soy sauce or anything else for that matter. It came with 3 slices of medium cut pieces of chicken, lots of green onions, and half an egg, which cost $1.00 extra. The noodles were good and just the right amount to make me full. The waitress checked on me twice throughout my meal. She emphasized to me to take my time, no rush! :) My meal came out to be $11.85 before tip. Overall, I will definitely come to this place if I am ever on this side of town again. I need to try the spicy ramen. :)

Nara is a hidden gem! Both their ramen and sushi are very fresh and tasty. My favorite is the Mega Ramen. It’s just the right amount of spice and you get 8 large tender shrimp that are always cooked to perfection and the broth is SO GOOD. The noodles have such a good texture. The sushi rolls are big and so flavorful. I especially love the Gold Point roll and the Sunshine California Roll. Even though there are no hand rolls listed on the menu, all you have to do is ask and they will make them for you. I always get a salmon hand roll and the salmon is very fresh every time. The prices are reasonable and they are always so nice and friendly when we come in. Please stop by and try this place! What a gem of a restaurant we found located on Westheimer between Jeanetta and Fondren. The quality of their yellow tail sashimi is phenomenal. It's very reasonably priced for the portion size you get considering the high quality of the sashimi. The chicken karaage was also quite tasty and the portion size was generous. We enjoyed the Philadelphia roll, as well as the Houston and Hurricane rolls. We have since tried this place a few times upon discovering it and we have enjoyed it on every visit. It's obvious the chef knows how to do his job! It's a great place to eat if you want sushi or sashimi at a reasonable price given the quality of the fish and portion size you are served.
