Panda Express is a well established franchise with its own take on Chinese food. There is a love-hate relationship with this chain due to it’s inconsistent food offering and I can second that thought. I’ve been to this particular Panda Express quite a few times now, mostly for to-go lunches. My typical order consists of rice and 2 entrees (a plate) and most of the times it would be string bean chicken and kung pao chicken (since they are wok smart options, more on this later). However, I’ve also tried some of the other options; sesame chicken breast, orange chicken, grilled teriyaki chicken and honey-walnut shrimp. All these other options are high on calories, so I’d consider balancing entrees with one wok smart at the very least. They also server plain rice with super greens (broccoli) which would cater the needs for a few. Talking about the restaurant itself, it’s decently big with plenty of seating area. The ordering process is simple and you can try on the entrees before ordering. The food quantity is abundant, they have wok smart options (which are less calorie dense) along with appetizers like spring rolls and drinks (fountain drinks mostly). One thing to note, they tack a premium on the shrimp so please do taste it before ordering it, it has this sweet flavor which won’t appeal to the masses. The inconsistency comes from the fact that sometimes there is a lack of quality control; instances being half done rice or the lack of flavor in some entrees or the meat being extra chewy, which is disappointing, but I guess no restaurant is perfect. Panda Express is a casual Americanized Chinese food restaurant with plenty of options. They try to serve people from both sides of the table; healthy, calorie conscious folks with their wok smart foods, to the ones who simply want to enjoy some delicious sweet-savory food. The staff here is great and the restaurant is clean and spacious. An easy restaurant to recommend.

My go to meal is usually 2 veggies and one protein. Newly vegan, I ordered 2 items, including my favorite super greens. While enjoying my meal and eating quickly, I recalled an Instagram post about little bugs on broccoli and decided to do a quick inspection…and there it was, a little black (cooked and intact) bug! I then checked the Kale and noticed tiny holes in the leaves and very dry/black cut stems. I’m particular about my protein options and this type of ā€˜protein’ was alarming and not on my list. But I’m sure I probably partook of one of them on my first broccoli. I took pictures and notified the company, so we’ll see. I’d like to get my money back, especially since I couldn’t finish my meal. Hopefully I won’t get sick 🤢. Check your food.

3 stars for this location. Came for lunch today 2/17/2020 and I ordered my food which was fried rice honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken. Payed for it and headed back to work to eat my lunch there. Once i started to eat my food I noticed that the rice was stale and very hard. It had an old taste to it. Everything else was good just like the customer service but that rice was bad. I feel that a business like that should have fresh food at all times. Hard working people look forward to a hot fresh meal to enjoy whether its lunch or dinner. I hope you guys at Panda can correct this and dont continue to sell old food or even mix old food with fresh food.

Horrible Managementā€¼ļø

Yesterday Aug 9,2023 I was invited to come for an interview at 9758 Katy fwy. When I finally arrived I texted Karina, i’m not sure if she was the interviewer, but the two Hispanic women that interviewed me were very standoffish and Rude!

I came in and sat at the corner table and waited as they were still interviewing another candidate. Once they were done, I approached & Greeted them. She asked me about my work experiences I simply told her I was a Shift Manager at McDonald’s and ect.. then she asked what was the Job culture at McDonald’s, I replied ā€œ As a manager on my shift we always met our goals and finished 1st šŸ„‡ on the McDonald rank system, We had good positive energy, excellent communication, everyone respected each other, and it was a very diverse workplace.

She replied, ā€œwell why don’t you go back then?ā€ I felt so uncomfortable at this point, her of demeanor and energy was very off putting. My response was ā€œI moved far from the area and became a full time student to finish a few summer classes.ā€

She responded, ā€œThen why not get transferred?ā€ I replied: ā€œwell, I just put in an application they haven’t got back to me as of yet, but then I received a text asking if I could come in to be interviewed at panda express I thought yeah it’ll be a good experience & I’ll learn something new.ā€

She begins to wrap up the interview quickly, and asked if I had any questions for her.

So I asked about the hours and the scheduling she told me you get no more than 38 hours and must have an open schedule. I told her yeah that sounds perfect for me. During the entire interview, the other manager that was sitting at the table with us didn’t say anything to me she was slouched over on the table with the palm of her hand on her chin but she didn’t show the same energy with the candidate before me. I felt like she was giving the other manager signals and Signs because the lady that was interviewing me kept looking her direction.

ā€œWell, OK thank you for comingā€ is what the interviewer said to me. I replied, thank you, and left the table. As I’m walking off, I noticed how no one looks like me that works there. Racial interview, lack of diversity!!!

Overall all my experience with them made me feel extremely uncomfortable, unwelcomed, and useless to the company even with all the knowledge and experience I have. I came dressed for success, even though other candidates came in, however, I’m not judging, but I was judged because the...

I went there 02/17/24 around 9:05 and looked at the menu to see what I wanted and then I proceeded to make my order and I questioned the server about how many shrimp comes on an order. Getting to the cash register to ring me up the security system goes off and the server steps back and look up at the camera and says, "I am ok" I am looking like WTH and the server cashier looks at me and says, "They just trying to keep it safe around here." I am looking around to see where a possible threat could be and there is only 2 couples in the dining are and me at the cashier ringing up. I sat down to eat my food thinking about DAMN did I just get racial profiled as being a threat to this establishment? Sitting there eating my food I find this very long hair wrapped around one of my shrimp and I take it to the cashier to show him and the the asian guy that had just fixed his plate of food took my plate so aggressively spilled my plate of food onto his plate of food and they fixed me a new plate of food and this time it was made with none of that magical movement of the scoop. Now I am sitting down starting to eat again still thinking about that security system profiling and I see 2 people come in that look a bit shabby that might be seen as a robber or something and that thing didn't go off. So now I am asking myself do this thing go off on black people who wearing clothes to stay warm because we working outside in the cold air and choose to come into this establishment to spend our money to get a bite to eat? On the next day 02/18/24 I called store #1554 to ask about who controls their security monitoring and why was I profiled the manager said he dont have any control over the security monitoring and he gave me the number to the corporate office. I called them to ask about getting in touch with their security company (interface) and no one seems to have a number to make contact with them so I filed a claim and emailed them my receipt for my purchase of $15.48 and I am waiting to hear back from them. I explained to them that refunding my money for the meal does not fix this problem of racial profiling someone this has to be fixed and I intend to go the distance. Since they have security that see everything and can hear everything then this whole situation should be on...
