I placed an order for a small pizza delivery at 8:19pm this evening June 27, 2019. By my mistake, I did not update my account information with the proper phone number. I had an old number on file. I called the Kirby location at 8:38 pm and asked if my order was on the way since there’s tracking system was down and I was not up to date on my order. They explained the driver is sitting at the front of the apartments, go down there to him. I said, no I will not go down. I usually direct the driver to the back gate so I can meet them in the garage or downstairs by the gate. I live at the Alexan Southside Place. Its more convenient for the driver to enter through our gate. I’ve ordered here numerous times and never had any issues with this method. Well, the employee on the phone insisted on telling me over and over again that my number was incorrect on file, and that we do not know how to get in contact with the driver. There was another employee in the background yelling it’s wrong, the information is wrong on the account. I understand my number was incorrect, but I made a call to verify the information so that they could pass my number along to the driver. They stated they would try to find a way to contact him. From there I waited another 20 minutes and proceeded to call the location again. A gentleman answered the phone this time. I gave him my information, and he exclaimed, it takes 45 minutes for a pizza to come, You just placed the order 20 minutes ago. I stated to him, I did not place the order 20 minutes ago. He decided to over talk me and argue about my placement of the order saying yes I did, it says it right here. I then proceeded to tell him I am reading an email on my phone form papa Johns saying, order placed at 8:19pm. He then says, why does the time say something different. I explained the story of the driver and the two women who, one I spoke to and the other I heard yelling in the background, about the driver and my number being incorrect. I am trying to speak to this man while listening to yelling and screaming in the background. Apparently the yelling was coming from the woman and the driver. They were going back and forth arguing very loudly that I felt as if I were standing next to them. I told the man to cancel my order. I started speaking again and he proceeded to cut me off again while in mid sentence to say, you do not have to explain anything to me I’m canceling it. I asked for an email confirmation and he said, you can drive up here and get the canceled receipt. If I wanted to drive up there I would’ve never placed an order for delivery. Those 4 employees who worked on June 27, 2019 between the hours of 8:00pm and 9:15pm, should all find new jobs. Customer service goes a long way and each one of them played a huge part in poor customer service, creating a horrible experience for me with papa Johns Kirby. I will NEVER order from here again. I am highly dissatisfied with the service, how I was spoken to, and the poor communication amongst staff and amongst myself. Never order from here because it sounds like you are dealing with an environment filled with highly...
Read moreWARNING: They hire potentially VIOLENT drivers.
Had an incident last night with one of the drivers. White guy, mid 30's, dark/green colored 4 door SUV, light hair, shaggy cut. My girlfriend handed me the phone after she became very uncomfortable with how she was being addressed by this man. This man parked in the auto mechanic parking parking lot hidden from our town homes, claimed he was at our address yet we couldn't see him but wanted us to come outside. He became argumentative and antagonistic after we couldn't find him. He proceeded to speed out from his hiding spot behind the fence very fast and recklessly slam his brake across the street from us. He then continued to talk down to me.
He proceeded to shout across the street for me to, "Calm down pretty boy I have your pizza! I have your pizza!" This was when I lost my temper with him and told him I didn't want the pizza, stay off my property, I am calling the manager.
His voice sounded slurred. I sent a complaint to corporate and threatened to call the police if that driver EVER returns to my door for any reason.
So, I do not know how the food or decor is. The manager was quick to tell me the driver will be reprimanded, however, women beware if you get this driver I think you could potentially be put in a very uncomfortable situation if you are not used to dealing with aggressively pushy people.
UPDATE: Received a phone call from the Director of Operations. There is now an investigation into this matter. I filed a follow up complaint this afternoon showing that I posted this review which lead to a phone call less than an hour later. Apparently something occurred last night which did not allow my original complaint to go through, however I was given an email address to send that complaint to. Thus far, I have hope that this matter will...
Read moreToday I was subjected to the most flagrant disregard to customer service I have experienced in memory. My household hasn't ordered from your business in a long time, we are avid Domino's pizza lovers, given their consistency in quality, value and excellent customer service. Today we decided to try Papa Johns and although dismayed at the over 30% increase in cost over Domino's, we decided to give you a try.
I called the Papa John's # 2142 1 (one) HOUR after my order was placed to inquire the status of my delayed pizza.
It took over 3 (three) minutes for someone at the Papa John's # 2142 location to answer my call at which time when I began to ask the status of my delayed pizza I was interrupted by the individual, given a rehearsed script about experiencing higher volume than normal and then immediately put back on hold before I was allowed to say another word. After 10 (ten) minutes of continuing to be on hold, my call was disconnected.
It is 2.5 (two and a half) hours after my order was placed, without so much as a phone call from the store which I placed my order, and of course, no pizza having been delivered. The pizza, additionally, was pre-paid with a credit card.
I can promise you that I will never order from any Papa Johns again and that in addition to placing this horrible review on as many online locations as I am able, I will repeat and warn my friends of what to expect if they ever make the mistake of trying to order a pizza from your establishment.
Shame on your business for the complete lack of controls to ensure ANY type of decent customer service from a situation like this.
My recommendation to anyone is use Domino's; you'll be...
