Pappasitos is a must for me when I visit any city in Texas with one. This particular location inside terminal E has limitations the others I’ve visited don’t; but it provided top notch enchiladas with beans and rice at 9AM! That’s right, the full menu is available as soon as the location is open. While pricey; everything in the airport is pricey so it comes with the territory. The only downside is a few menu items (such as Flautas) didn’t seem available at this airport location, and the fun atmosphere of a stand-alone pappasitos cantina wasn’t even attempted at the airport as it was counter service only with shared food court seating. Still, highly recommend.

I typically prepare my meals for the work week in advance but often times run out mid week or just need something different, my go to is a simple order dish of chicken or fajita beef which used to be $5 for like 3oz, imagine my surprise today they've doubled the price, $9.99 for a side dish of fajita steak. Airport prices are always rediculous and even more so considering employees easily account for 60% or better of each company's business. I don't typically do reviews but this is abhorrent, I hope pappasito's takes notice as I won't be spending another dime with them, no excuses for literally doubling the price on something so basic as meat in a bowl.

2.5 hour layover... 3 weeks in Canada and I wanted TexMex... oh boy, beef fajitas. First off I don't know who make the flour tortillas but they were great. The beef cooked med well and good flavor. Ok... it's an airport so no atmosphere... I got my tray and moved to a window spot by panda express and totally enjoyed my meal. I hardly ever give excellent rating but I'm telling you THIS MEAL WAS THE BOMB. Ok, maby cause 3 weeks in blandville or maby there were just having a really good day... this was very good tasty hot fresh fajitas.... I will be back IF I have time to kill in Houston airport.

My score is specifically because of the experience I received from “Pammie”.. (the cashiers name on my receipt) she was so kind and had such an uplifting spirit.

When I received my order or queso I noticed the container was only about half way full. I took it back and asked another person in a black shirt if that was correct and she said yes and did not ant to make it right. I told her I’d like to return it in that case and she directed me back to my original “sever” Pammie. When I mentioned to her that I didn’t want the half full cup she made sure I got the right portion and was happy to accommodate my request. She is the kind of person you need as the face of your brand especially when it comes to dealing with...

This rating is more like a 4.5, but given Houston Airport terminals C and E are a freakin' dining disaster (check out the reviews and ratings on virtually all the other options...terrible!) this is the lone shining star. Staff were nice and funny. Food smells great as you walk up. My order came up fast. I got the enchiladas with the red/meat sauce...one beef one chicken and they were pretty good (chicken was slightly better)! Even the sides of rice and beans were better than I've had in some normal non-airport grab-and-go restaurants! I really wasn't looking for Mexican or TexMex food since I'm on my way to Mexico, but no regrets about stopping...
