My wife and I been to park place 249 about 3 or 4 times. I normally pay cash and pay as I go but I tip the waiter each time. I even tip the young man that clean the table. We visited park place 249 for Valentine’s Day. We understand it’s slightly busier than normal, we understand that service is going to take time.I feel crazy because after paying my bill and tipping the waitress. She never returned after returning my wife plate because the kitchen did not add fish. My wife ordered a shrimp and fish basket. She put the order in as shrimp basket. I had to pay more money was not an issue but waiting 20 to 30 min for a fish that was cut in half is CRAZY. My wife still didn’t know she had fish until the waitress said “ the cook cut the fish in half !” Crazy for what, the fish already small why cut it? After that interaction she never returned to check on us. The issue came when we wanted to order more drinks and the waiter never came back. I’m not about to run around looking for a waiter. The young lady needs to do better. If she spoke with the male waiter that we normally serve us. she would found out that I tip whenever pay for anything and I say keep the change. We would have stayed longer, my wife wanted to spend my money on drinks 😂 but the service was so sorry, instead of ruining our night with foolish bullcrap. We decided to leave. Also the hookah barely was pulling and it didn’t taste like anything. I adjusted it and it still...
Read moreFood was good, seasoned great with good presentation. Drinks were great! The skittles and BerryRita was great. Customer service was good! Very knowledgeable and had great recommendations for the menu. The DJ was all over the placed going from old school to new age and not the best transition. We couldn’t really vibe b/c when the song was getting good he moved on. My issues with this place is their “selective enforcement” of this place being 18 and older only. My husband, 13 year old son, and I attempted to dine one weekend prior to the date of this post. We’re told at 12:10pm after they had just opened that children were not allowed. No where on the website, IG, Yelp, or website does it state 18 and over, they did a very little sign after you enter. We returned the date of this post with 2 other adult friends. We witness 1 family (AA) turned away from dining with a child maybe 11-13 y/o. Assuming they enforced the 18 and over rule. No later did another family arrive (white) with a young boy maybe 10-12 years of age. They were sat down by the same hostess with no issues. I asked our waiter about the rule and she replied IDK 🤷🏾♀️ it’s suppose to be 18 and over but as you can see. I try to support new establishments and black owned but hate inconsistent protocols and selective enforcement. I don’t plan on visiting again, sadly the weekend my family and I were turned away we went over to Quotes and had a great time and...
