Patio By la Pasa: A Culinary Delight with Impeccable Service
Stepping into Patio By la Pasa, I was immediately captivated by its vibrant ambiance and warm hospitality. The restaurant exudes a sense of elegance and sophistication, yet it remains inviting and comfortable. The décor, a harmonious blend of modern and traditional elements, sets the stage for an exceptional dining experience.
As I perused the menu, my eyes were drawn to the Beef Tenderloin Kebab. The tender, juicy meat, marinated to perfection, melted in my mouth, leaving a symphony of flavors dancing on my taste buds. Each bite was an explosion of savory goodness, complemented by the rich aroma of the accompanying spices.
To complement my meal, I indulged in a cup of their freshly brewed coffee. The aroma, a tantalizing blend of roasted beans and subtle hints of spice, filled the air, beckoning me to take a sip. The coffee's smooth, rich flavor was a perfect accompaniment to my delectable meal.
For dessert, I opted for the Halva Cake with Pistachio, a decadent treat that surpassed all my expectations. The moist, flavorful cake, infused with the nutty essence of halva, was a delightful indulgence. The crowning touch was the generous sprinkling of pistachios, adding a delightful crunch and a burst of nutty flavor. For those seeking a lighter option, I highly recommend the Pistachio Tres Leches, a refreshing dessert that perfectly balances sweetness and creaminess.
While I don't smoke, I couldn't help but notice the inviting atmosphere of the restaurant's hookah bar. The gentle bubbling of the water pipes, the fragrant aroma of exotic flavors, and the relaxed ambiance created a welcoming space for hookah enthusiasts.
Despite not serving alcoholic beverages, Patio By la Pasa offers a tantalizing selection of refreshing mocktails. I particularly enjoyed the Passion Citrus, a vibrant blend of passion fruit, citrus juices, and a hint of mint, leaving me feeling revitalized and refreshed.
The true star of Patio By la Pasa is its exceptional staff. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with genuine warmth and attentiveness. Thay, the hostess, exudes an infectious enthusiasm and takes pride in ensuring each guest has an unforgettable experience. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she effortlessly guided me to the perfect table, considering my preferences.
My servers, Lily and Gus, were equally impressive. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care were evident in every interaction. They anticipated my needs, answered my questions with a smile, and ensured my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.
A special shoutout to the manager, Zak, and Mr. Asid and Abed from the bar. Their dedication and passion for creating a memorable dining experience were evident in their interactions with guests and attention to every detail.
Overall, my dining experience at Patio By la Pasa was nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of exquisite cuisine, attentive service, and a vibrant ambiance makes it a must-visit destination for any discerning diner. I eagerly anticipate my next visit to this...

I visited for the first time yesterday night with my friend. We are both females might I add. The ambience food and hookah were all 10/10. I’m rating two stars based on my own personal experience with our server Sayed.
Initially, he was respectful and seemed welcoming. Towards the beginning of the interaction with The server, both my friend and I could tell that he took a liking to her which was fine. However, it started to become a little bit too noticeable.
For example:
When taking our drink orders, we both ordered hot tea. We noticed that when my friend put in her tea order, he asked her a few questions about how she liked her tea, but when it was my turn to put in my order, he didn’t ask me anything regarding how I liked my tea. When the tea was brought out, he asked my friend if she wanted any milk, sugar or honey, and before before I could confirm if I wanted anything for my tea, he walked away from the table without even attempting to ask me. (STRIKE 1)
When the hookah was brought out, he proceeded to put it on her side of the table instead of putting it in between us so that we could both easily access the hookah. There was a point where she asked him to move it because it was hard for me to reach it/Comfortably enjoy the hookah. (STRIKE 2)
When it came down to asking how the food/drinks were, and if anything additional was needed, he would come back to the table and only address her. Would not bother looking in my direction as if there were not two people sitting at the table (STRIKE 3).
Near the ending of our visit, my friend and I decided that we wanted to order dessert. Because we noticed the weird behavior from our server we both agreed that when it came down to ordering anything additional for the table, she would just be the only one to Communicate with him. (Ridiculous) Mind you, I was treating us both and already made it up in my mind that I was not tipping him due to the disrespect honestly.
Once we were semi done with our dessert. He came back and asked my friend, only how the dessert was. Once their interaction was completed I proceeded to attempt to ask him to bring the bill and as soon as I opened my mouth, he walked away. (STRIKE 4)
At this point, my friend and I were both uncomfortable and we were ready to go because we both felt the energy and the disrespect.
This is coming from the perspective of someone who used to be a server working in the hospitality industry many years ago, so I know how a table is supposed to be treated. I could understand if this was a large party, but it was literally two of us sitting at a table and he chose to only address one person not even realizing that the person he decided to ignore was footing the bill.
The semi unprofessional behavior makes sense though being that gratuity is automatically added. I guess he doesn’t care how he makes customers feel when he knows he’s going to be tipped regardless of the service he gives. I personally won’t be returning due to...
Read moreNot Worth It – Disappointing Experience
I’m a loyal Cafe Layal guest, but I found Patio by La Pasha on TikTok and decided to try it out with my husband and another couple. Unfortunately, it ended up being a disappointing experience—and honestly, I was embarrassed that I picked the spot.
Valet & Parking – Shady and Overpriced Right from the start, parking was a hassle. The valet told me I could self-park, but only if I paid a premium $10 charge for the front. I went ahead with it, but it felt off. Later, our friends shared that valet was charging other guests and then parking cars in the free public lot by the park. That’s just distasteful and felt like a scam.
Food – Lacked Flavor and Freshness We ordered the fried cauliflower and falafel to start, and both were bland. I got the chicken tawook, which was so dry I couldn’t eat it—just picked at the rice. The tabbouleh had zero flavor. My guests said their food was alright, but I could tell they were not impressed. The hookah was alright, I like the Layal has tabbaco less hookah now.
Service – Fell Apart Quickly We were greeted nicely at first, but once the place filled up, the service dropped off. We had to wave down our server multiple times for basics like water, tea, and sugar. At one point, another waiter refused to bring water until he could “confirm we ordered it.” For water?! That was wild. If it’s something you charge for, just bring it and add it to the bill. Don’t leave people waiting 20 minutes to get something to drink.
Gratuity – Felt Like a Setup When the check came, our waiter handed my husband the printed receipt but also drew his attnetion to the bill using the handheld device. I happened to glance at the receipt and saw that a 15% gratuity had already been included. My husband was seconds away from adding another 20% on top. When we brought it up, the waiter seemed annoyed and just said, “Oh yeah, it’s already included.” That felt shady and dishonest—especially toward generous tippers.
Atmosphere – Hot, Smoky, and Uncomfortable By the end of the night, I was dripping in sweat. The indoor area had no air circulation, it was packed, and the hookah smoke/heat made it worse. We left thirsty and uncomfortable.
Final Thoughts: Our friends were okay with the experience overall, but my husband and I will definitely not be returning. Between the shady valet situation, flavorless food, declining service, and uncomfortable setting, it just wasn’t worth it. I’ll be sticking with Cafe Layal—better food, better service, and a much more enjoyable experience from...
