Invited by a buddy to watch MNF and was suprised at the nice setup. A large great urban sports bar w decent menu choices and a sea of flat screens to watch multiple games from every angle. Although, the hooka pipe offerings were not my speed and the music was WAY to loud. It quickly became apparent the age group was 18-25, a great date spot (saw tons of couples) and a millinial's hang. Despite all that, the waitstaff service was good, not great, but they made up for it in good looks (they also possessed a lot of attitude coming from the feeling they'd rather be somewhere else-more attitude than service, which appeared to be hit or miss with all of the waitresses we observed). Despite going on a Monday night it was dead at 7pm, but was lively before I left at 11 pm, due to numerous off duty waitstaff hanging out on their off day, couples just trying to get out of the house for a simple hang, a small birthday party and wait for it....an album release party by a local Houston rap act. So, if you want to ball on a budget fellas, this would be a good spot to have in your rotation: the female to male ratio makes it a must visit, the happy hour menu offers great value for your dollar, but take a hard pass on the drink selection, unless your doing happy hour, because the portions were sippy cup size-my frozen margarita was an embarrament to frozen margaritas it was so small. A few other cons: the biggest point of contention is that parking is a horror story (rip off/scam), my buddy who invited me called while I was enroute and requested to borrow $10 cash for parking since their atm was not operational. I thought I'd need $20 cash if I was including myself (I've read countless reviews that point out the "valet" parking is their biggest gripe- I saw why, the parking lot is small and actually they use other companies parkingvlots up and down Fountain View to park cars, which contributes to the wait. My buddy waited longer than he should to get his vehicle upon leaving. My friend also pointed out staff walking around carrying buckets with hot coals for the hookas navigating tight spaces between tables around peoples feet-no bueno! We were also fortunate to stick to specific menu items so as to avoid the instances of claims of improperly cooked food several other customers experienced. Unfortunately, while there was a lot of eye candy, they were way too young and about that life of being seen and balling. So, while an interesting spot, all it offers is a great sports watching venue, good-looking waitstaff and decent menu options, but nothing more than that (it's a upscale black Ojos Locos ripoff: that's an Austin, TX reference-chk my reviews), sorry, its just a resturant-I'm just keeping it real, but I'll take that, especially since I don't...

Read moreCame for a birthday, but I wouldn't want to ever come back. The first reason why is the parking. I was caught off guard with the parking prices of $20 and $40 valet in their parking lot (which, to me, is insane). They have $5 right next door. That drastic drop in price just goes to show how the parking is a money grab. The second reason why is the service. When the restaurant wasn't busy, our waitress was nowhere to be found. She would swing by every 30 minutes or so, and it wasn't even busy! I started off by ordering just a beer. Why did it take 20 minutes to receive that beer, and it wasn't even dressed? Just open it and bring it to the table, but that took forever! When my party wanted to leave, we felt relieved to FINALLY be able to pay because we didn't know if and when we'd ever see our waitress again because it was actually starting to get busy by that time. The third reason is the price and value of what they offer. The food is pretty average (I got the wings), and it's definitely not worth the price they charge. The hookah we got was cool but not worth the price. The $25 cocktails.......again, not worth the price. A person in our group went to the bar to buy a shot.....it was $17 with gratuity (doesn't matter if you're by yourself, a party of 5 like we were, 20% gratuity is added to everything). $17 for a squirt in a plastic cup. Lastly, the music. It was so loud that my eardrums wanted to pop out of my head and ran away. They also had a lot of Glo Rilla, Sexy Redd, Future, Latto, and Lil Baby in rotation, but that was literally it until the Djay started playing so it was the same "Coochie this, coochie that" for like 2 hours straight. As an added bonus, the website/service they use to reserve tables, they dont really use it. It took roughly 40 minutes to get the table we reserved. Another bonus! We had a birthday cake, asked for plates, and our waitress said they couldn't give us any plates, so she gave us some packs of the plastic silverware and napkins, and we just made it work. Overall, I think Prospect Park can be a cool place if that's your vibe and don't mind spending, but there are plenty of places in Houston who offer better food, better service, and a better atmosphere at a better price. Prospect Park is popular, but it's definitely...
